I got my first babysitting job at my church. I am still babysitting now. If you go to church volunteer in the nursery and then once the parents see how good you are at it and the kids start to like you then people will ask you to babysit and your name will start going around and you will get more and more jobs. That's what happened to me. |

but be sure you say babysit and not watch the kids....

i babysit my relatives and neighbors a lot. just ask a family by saying "if u ever need a babysitter im always available" sooner or later u will get a call |

well guessing u go to school, start in your niegboorhood, and baby sit your moms friends, and then they will give your name out, and tell your friends, and they will tell their mom when ever they need one, and just start off like that |

Don't advertise. You've got to make personal contacts, either through church, neighbors or social groups.
Introduce yourself to perspective clients, explain your service and make them feel at ease with you. You'll be sure to land several jobs.

Putting up signs is a good idea. Add little tear offs at the bottom that include your name and number. Otherwise, you can put an ad in the classifieds or in church bulletins. Additionally, a lot of churches are looking for young people to be in their nursery during services. Often they pay. |
