1) Working REALLY hard -- my uncle was worth 12.5 million when he died at the age of 51 just a few months ago. He worked REALLY hard but neglected his family for 20-odd years as a result.
2) Inheritance
3) Saving, not spending -- most buy used cars, not new cars. Most still shop with coupons. Most put their money away to play with at a later date.

The truth is that most millionairres inherit their wealth to a certain degree. No one wants to admit that but it's the truth. Everyone talks about Ted Turner becoming a billionaire but Ted Turner's father owned an advertising firm which he inherited and used as leverage to ultimately form CNN. Warren Buffett's father owned an insurance company; Donald Trump's father was already a real estate mogul. Sure, these businessmen grew those empires but they had money to play around with which 99.9% of us can't claim. It's much easier to grow existing money than it is to start from scratch. Give me a million dollars and it's much easier to make 2-3 million than it is to make my first million. It's rare that you will see a self-made person become wealthy without any help from his parents and the ones who have recently done this were dotcom. And the dotcom managers were lucky to because they were financed by venture capitalists.
If you want to become a millionaire on the low end of the spectrum, become a doctor, lawyer or a dentist and work your butt off and then invest part of your income. You will become a millionaire. However, don't think like most Americans in that you can play with the stock market on-line from home and become a millionaire. Sure it happens for everyone who gets rich that way, there are probably thousands who end up broke or declaring bankruptcy playing the stock market. |

Knowledge is a weapon when competing for wealth. Keep going stong even when you see yourself failing. NEVER say NEVER. I can happen. I am assuring you, if you have the will to succeed then you will!
