Hey, how do we get customers to pay for products via the website. I know it has something to do with paypal but I don't get it. How does the money get to our bank account in the end?

Hello,
When your customer goes to pay for a product on your website, the customer will type in their credit card information...and be essentially paying paypal. Paypal will then take that money and put it in your "paypal account" which you can cash out anytime into your own bank account. Hope that makes sense!! :) |

Because you have a Business you need to set up a Paypal Business account online. Once you have done this there are several tools you can use to accept payments instantly such as using:

First, you need a credit card. Next, you use your credit card information to register a paypal account. Because basically internet transactions are done with credit cards, or bank-to-bank relationship (beyond my knowlegde).
What paypal does is, it protects your credit card information because you don't have to provide your credit card number everytime you purchase something.
Something like this:
paypal -> credit card -> bank account
To have a verified paypal account, you need a credit card. After you have a verified account, you can register some bank accounts to have the payments sent.
So people need only your paypal username (email account you use to register with paypal) to be able to send you money. Once a payment is received, your paypal balance increases.
You can then use the menu "withdraw fund" to withdraw your money to your registered bank account. Sometimes paypal charge some fees. Refer to Paypal support section for detail.

yeah what you do is go to pay pal and start a small Business account. It costs nothing to set up. They will transfer two small amount into your bank account and once you see them you verify them. After that you can add a pay pal button to your website it is really simple if you follow there instructions.

You link your bank account to a paypal account, it will then send 2 small money transfers into your bank (i.e 5p and 2p) then once this is complete you will be prompted to enter the amount to confirm the account is yours. Then the amount will be removed and your account activated.
With this feature it allows visitors to your website to buy your product/services at the click of a button. It will automatically add these funds to your account.
It's completely secure and is the most popular form of online payment, therefore your visitors are most likely to already own a paypal account. |
