Here are some ideas that may spark other ideas.
1) ask the kids want that would make them come to you. They would appreciate the fact that you have asked them.
2) create packaged lessons/test so that family relatives can buy them as presents, perhaps a birthday voucher/package or a passed all your exams package etc.
3) to get into schools do a safety (drink and drive/speed) demonstration, you could give them some very hard safety questions (possibly mutiple choice) before you arrive, then your demo will touch on the questions debate and end with fun driving questions with learner plate as a prize.

The traditional answer is "get yourself a fluorescent boat" ie make sure you are more visible than anyone else and make sure that you float on the flood. |

I think you need to get creative with your marketing. Try thinking out of the box and dare to do different things to get new customers - don't just follow the masses with advertising in the yellow pages and your local paper!

Target those most likely to use your services which I guess are teenagers. Do some promotion that appeals to them and advertise where they are likely to see it. |

Advertise in your local papers, the Internet and phone books. Knock down your lessons by £1.00 cheaper than the rest and offer discounts for new customers like the first 3 or 4 lessons for a knock down price. Talk to people about it and tell them what you have to offer. Also advertise a Little further away so as to attract new customers from places where there might not be as much competition. |

In a saturated market you have to provide extra services and qualities. This develops your reputation and you turn the tide to become sought after instead of chasing your tail. List all your good points and see how they fit in with your customers past and present and concentrate on that area.
Keep a list of all clients and keep in contact with new ideas such as advanced driving, refresher and up to date high way code clubs. By doing such work you attract customers who see the benefit of your school and have a preference plus may refer you to other people. |
