How do you go about starting up an Internet bussiness? And what is the best one to get into?

I'm an actor and author and I wrote a book and created a website for young actors, who, among other things, NEED to get their finances in order before they jump into their careers, so that they can concentrate on taking classes, getting their headshots taken, etc. So many have money problems and can't afford to really act full-time, because they have to work a nine to five job making just a little bit of money.

About two years ago I was asking myself the same question you asked.

And while I’m still learning, that’s one question I don't have to ask anymore. I looked high and low for someone who was just not trying to take my money, but who really could show me how to do it. and while I trust those chosen few resources you will find on that page when it comes to what you can do on the internet, the ones that I have really achieved fantastic results with are the SBI link and the SU links.

Through a great, great, great video instructional tour, with all the support you can imagine, the SBI people actually TAKE YOU BY THE HAND and walk you through the whole process. This is my third website that I built for actors and after just 5 months, I'll hit more than five thousand visits for the month. I have numerous sign-ups, people buying my book, gaining credibility in the market place, people visiting the site from 42 countries around the world. And the numbers are continuing to grow. And just think, I haven’t spent one penny on advertising or pay per click campaigns or anything yet!! Wait til I do that! I’m now in the process of redoing the design. That will be redone in two weeks, then I'll launch the campaign!

They have an incredible, incredible, incredible support, forum, videos, audio, blogs, updates. I’ve never seen anything like it. If I had to pick one thing that they could improve on for me personally are the templates they offer, but believe me that the rest of the service is well worth it. Like I said, I’m having a new template made, but it’s nothing compared to everything else. I’m getting lots and lots of traffic and this process and method, software or whatever you want to call it, works for just about any kind of business you might have. Go check it out. Whatever you decide to do, make sure that you get something that has that level of service. I know this sounds like a pitch, but I’ll be honest, with the results I’m getting, I’m excited and happy!

All I did, was follow what they told me to do, step-by-step. As a result of all the traffic, I am making money also selling products that are related and that can really help actors build themselves an income stream that permits them to have more flexibility to concentrate on their craft. I've also learned other things about other spin-off products I can sell directly online.

Believe me that over these past two years in all my research, I spent soooooo much money on scams, things that I thought were good only to find out that it wasn't that way. Now, after spending and WASTING certainly in the neighborhood of $5,0000 in total, I finally feel like I'm really starting to know what I'm doing. I’m getting my long-awaited results. On the other hand, my spending that money has been a learning experience and now I want to give something back so that people don’t have to go through what I did. One of the best ways I know how to do that is through the books that I write, like the one for actors: Acting Career Start-Up: Four Key Factors For Success, which by the way, (thinking about your question) is being sold on amazon.com and barnes&nobles.com, which means I'm making a little money off of that too. I will answer the 2nd question first: the best one to get into would depend on what criteria you have for a good business and what priorities you have in life. (Answer questions like: how much time do I want to spend with my family, how much money do I need to make to live comfortably, will i be able to save for my kids college, inheritance, does the product / service excite me, is it legitimate, etc.) The best business for you would be one which takes care of most of your questions. I too had my own set of criterion while scouting for a business opportunity and it took me 8 months to find the right one.

Now, the first question: before starting an internet business, think hard about the kind of product / service you want to deal with. Make sure its something you have faith in. Be prepared to do a through research into the business - do not get sold or convinced by someone who wants you to join. It should be your own well informed decision. Never consider paying for information which you would typically need to evaluate a business / job opportunity. Legitimate companies would not ask you to pay for information. Keep an open mind to ideas - you never know when the right one comes your way. (Its very easy to get cynical when the internet is flooded with scams).

Online social networking is definitely becoming more and more a place where people invest lots of money and start new businesses.

My suggestion would be to start a business which would teach people learn and get the best out of internet, sort of online platform.

Something good would be also to surf net more and more, cause that will help u to figure out, whats the biggest need out there.

My suggestion is, find somethings you are really interesting with it and you can pay fully passion with it. Otherwise you will give up very very soon. Many successful internet millionaires start their online business with their own interest.

Make sure the products or services you are going to sell with an existing huge market. Do the market research before you start your business. A business won't make money even he has a perfect product or service but there are no market require for that product or service.

There are many low cost online softwares can help you to determine whether your business with an existing hungry market or not.

Create a website.There are many online experts can help you to build up a business website just within 1-2 weeks time. You no need to know anything about web design or programming.

Just let them know what kind of business you wish to start up, they will help you to create all the business features and tools on your website and make it looks professional.

Now you have a best product to sell but your business still can not earn money if you don't have a good marketing strategy. Takes a look at McDonald. McDonald is not selling the best burger in the world, but he own the most franchises all around the world. you could start an Ebay sales business if you want. Just go to Ebay and look into merchant accounts. You could also open a yahoo store. very easy to do. both of these commerce sites have templates for your storefront, as free software.
or, if you want a more traditional store, with your own url or distinct web site, go to www.godaddy.com, or www.miva.com.

basically, you will need a web site that accepts transactions, so after you read up on it on any of the above sites, you can make decisions about what payment gateway you want to use, etc.
it is not very hard, just a lot to learn and little tasks to complete.

google just came out with a free service that is called google analytics. analytics is the science of business.
