Your not going to find a home job that pays you more then minimum wage. If this is a sufficient amount of income for you, then I can refer you over where you can apply for different places. You most likely won't get the job because the demand for home jobs are so high and the competition is stiff! You really need to be qualified for these jobs or have an in with the companies to have them.

If you really want to work from home, and want a real opportunity to make a sufficient amount of money, then I suggest you start your own home based business. There are so many different home based business to start up. Things from Child Daycare Centers, cooking, scrapbooking, Telecommunications, fishing charters, Candle Making, Travel agents, Tax Preperations, Health etc etc etc. Their are many different types of home based businesses. Most home based business cost under $500 to start. Which if you take a look at what that covers, it's a very good deal to have. Traditional businesses pay thousands of dollars a month for billing, accounts payable, accounts receivables, Inventory stock), Insurance, Licensing, Employees, customer service, Order Entries, Workman's comp etc etc etc. That one time start up fee, covers all that! Not a bad deal to pay one time with the opportunity to have the same opportunity for income as the traditional businesses do without all that over head expenses. Something to really stop and think about. I know, I had a traditional business and it was a crazy life to lead.
I'm going to be honest with you, when starting a business, their is no money at first. You have to build it up. No matter what business you get involved in. The more effort you put into it and how hard your willing to work it, will depend on when you start making a sufficient amount of income. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. If your going to work a waged job, you might as well put in the same amount of time into your own business and be able to make more then that waged job. Think about it.

In home based businesses, depending on which one you get involved in, it usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks to start making an average income. Same time period as a traditional "job", 4 to 6 weeks to increase that.
and 3 to 6 months to be self sufficient. If you put the time and effort into it. Most people start their business on the side if they don't have a cushion to live on while they build their business. This will allow you to build your business much quicker. But most people have full time jobs and run their business on the side. When their business reaches the income level they desire, they put their normal jobs down and continue with just their business with or without help. That part depends on you.

I don't have much to go on with what your interests are. So I can only try and help you out by refering you over to a few different businesses to take a look at. I'll tell you what my husband and I have had and enjoy doing for over six years now. I can also refer you over to my blog on my 360 yahoo page on "home based businesses" There are over half a dozen different ones to take a look at for more ideas.

We got involved in the Telecommunications industry. We picked this one because the income opportunity is just incredible, and to me it's more practical. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offers services that people use every day and pay for anyway. They are registered with the BBB. They've also been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 also rated us the 22nd fastest growing company in our first five years. We are world wide with headquarters in in Farmington Hills Michigan, Carolina, Canada, Europe, Australia. So it's a pretty good sized organization to be involved in. We offer services like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, digital, video, VOIP, Satallite TV, and all the major cellular phone providers like Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Nextell, Alltel etc. as well.

How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services? That's why we chose this business because everyone uses one or more. It's a service that people are not going to give up on because money is tightm their going to pay their utility bills then purchasing the top brand of soap when they can easily run to the dollar store and buy a package of 4 for a dollar instead of a bar for $2 sort of thing. You know what I mean? We save people money on services that they are already using and paying for, and offer them services that they don't have, but would like to. As an example, say they have a local and long distance telephone service, they want Internet, I offer them the internet, they accept and Every single month these people pay these bills that they are going to anyway every month, we make a percentage. You get paid every single month for these services over and over again. Once their on a service, everytime they pay their bills each month, you get a percentage off it. This is a very profitable business to get involved in. A lot of money involved in this industry,

If you'd like more information, your more then welcome to email me at anytime.

THERE ALL SCAMS!!!!!!!

Andy B
You might be better off thinking of a small business idea that you can run yourself and be in complete control of.

99% (if not 100%) of the time, the companies that advertise for home-workers will make their money, not from a percentage of those home-workers earnings, but from the money that these potential home-workers pay out to them for the 'chance' to work from home.

As such they have no incentive to find work or pay the person for any work as it simply isn't how they earn their money.

Can you get a sewing machine and learn to sew and sell clothes on ebay or something like that?

Good luck!

If you’re serious about being your own boss, making an honest income commensurate with the effort you put forth. I have been working with a company for a while and have had great results. If you are interested contact me at allican57@yahoo.com

They are mostly scams. If they require you to send money for something up front, it is a scam. Any legitimate job is not going to make you send them money. You best bet would be to contact local staffing agencies and ask them if they have any work-from-home opportunities available.

Most are scams, especially if you are required to fork out any money upfront like making jewelry at home for a company. You buy the materials and then when you submit the jewelry the criteria for what is acceptable makes it almost impossible to have a piece cleared.

ask alot of questions. Also, ask for a copy of their company manuel for distributors. Look closely at the compensation section. Make sure you go through it closely. If they won't allow you to have a copy of it then they are a scam for sure. After reading on the company, if you have any doubts don't do it....

You need to feel comforable with what you are doing.

Jess
Haha that is what I was going to say they are all scams. Sorry! You can still make them work but there is usually a huge start-up fee and no guarantee how much you will make.

Most are scams. The only ones that are remotely real will have a number to call. That way, you can talk to someone live and get a true feeling of what you would be getting into. Any reason of doubt, then drop it like a bad habit! If you can never get someone live, steer away from it.

The vast majority are scams. You don't want to send money or stuff envelopes. Others pay you for the quality of your work which will never meet their expections, thereby not paying you.

First, there are a few cardinal rules I follow for looking for legitimate online jobs:

1) If they ask for any type of fees, RUN FAR AWAY!
2) You will most likely not find a plain ol' data entry job.
3) Work at home jobs are not any easier than regular jobs you do outside the home, anything promising lots of money for doing nothing is a scam or a bad business opportunity.
4) Do not "process payments" for anyone, you could end up in the big house.
5) Is the job they are offering going to "change your life", I doubt it.
6) Legitimate companies will not advertise their jobs on banners or spam mail.

With that said, I have some resources that I use when looking for work at home jobs. One is http://www.wahm.com message boards where you can network with other work at home people and get information about working at home. The other is http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site I use frequently for job leads and they also have a wonderful directory of companies that hire home workers. I hope this helps you get going in the right direction. Good luck!

If it seems to good to be true then its propably a scam. Don't go for anything that only has a mobile as a contact and has no permentant address. Also anything that wants you to pay upfront I'd steer clear from. Phone them up and ask for references from people working for the company already and ask to speak to them. If the business if legit then they won't mind doing this at all. Also check to see if the business is registered with anyone and check these out- places are unlikely to register a company if they are a scam. Trust your gut feeling, if it doesn't feel right, then its probably a scam.

they ask for money in some way

snoopysmaster_001
Well the most obvious and apparent clue is when they ask you for money... I work to be paid...I have no desire to pay to work....lol

I would suggest joining some work-at-home forums/communities where you can review or join in conversations with others in the same boat. Some good forums are: http://real-wah-jobs.com/forum/index.php
http://workathomespace.com/forum/index.php
http://www.wahm.com/forum/default.asp

Also, read some articles here about working at home, opportunities, scams & more:

Good luck to you!
