shovel snow
wash business windows
babysit
housecleaning
errands for older people
ask your parents if they have any paying chores
tutor other kids if you are smart in a subject
walk peoples dogs for them
These are some things that I would easily pay a neighbor kid to do if you came to my door, and they are things that I did at your age. |

Dog walking, babysitting, snow shoveling (if you live in an area with snow), yard cleaning if you don't.
Why not check around your neighborhood, or church to see if there are any elderly people who require someone to do a little grocery shopping for them. Perhaps they may need some small purchases like milk, bread, eggs etc. These are things that you could carry.
You could make this into a little business for yourself. You could call it "Senior Shopping Service" or perhaps you could come up with a real catchy phrase. These same senior citizens may even appreciate some small chores being done for them around the house.
It's just an idea. I did this when I was your age and it all started while I was delivering newspapers as a favor for my best friend while she was on vacation. I saw a need in the community for this service and it paid off in more than just extra pocket money. I grew to really treasure the friendships that I made with those very same senior citizens. It is also very surprising how much you can learn from these individuals. |

I agree, snow shoveling. You could also look into a paper route, as that's year-round. If you live in a warm climate where snow's not an issue, perhaps washing cars would work.
Also, as you've probably just gotten Christmas gifts, perhaps this is a good time to clean out some of your old items by selling them to a resale shop - clothes you've outgrown, old toys and electronics, etc. |
