How much money for babysitting?
Me and my friends are putting together a babysitting program, and we a wondering what we should charge? We are providing pizza dinner, beverages , movie, pop corn, games, and more.

If you are a parent what would you be willing to pay?

Hmm, I'm 12, and I babysit a lot. The least I've gotten was $20 for 4 hours with 2 kids. I say you charge:

> $5 per kid
> $7.50 for two kids signing up together (brother&sister)
> $10 for three kids signing up together
> $12.50 for four kids signing up together
> $15 for five kids signing up together
> $25 for five+

And that chart is per hour. So if you have them for 5+ hours you could make a lot.

$20 for 4 hours for the first kid,
$15 for each additional kid

I may be a tight wad, but I'll pay 6.00 an hour. GOD Bless you.

Well I believe that the average price including all the extra stuff should be at least $4 per hour. Trust me, it will really add up at the end, and for the parents it will be a bargain. If I were a mom, I would really be delighted by the price, but what really matters is the trust of the babysitters. May I suggest a name as well?

LOL isn't it catchy? :) Well anyway, good luck with your babysitting business! I would be willing to eat any of the leftover pizza you have. :P

Hope this helps! :D

I would say charge about 5 bucks an hour.

Kel-c M
probably about $10 an hour. You dont want to charge too much because then your not going to get much business.
Hope your program goes through!!!
and Good luck.

I think £10 is about right for reliable babysitting for about 4 hours.Per child that is.

i babysit and i charge around 7-8 dollars a child per hour. if it's a baby and requires more watching (diaper changing etc..) charge 10 dollars

kdrck1
I pay 15 dollars for a babysitter to watch my 4 year old

I think you should charge like $15 a child maybe an extra five since your providing the entertainment and food...

you should have a fixed rate and time limit on when you would watch the children... like if its the weekdays and you go to school...sy the longest you can watch them is 3 hours you will charge them $15 per child for those 3 hours, but if they take longer its 5-7 dollars for each additional hour... If its the weekend then i would probably charge like $20 per child for 3 hours and 5-7 dollars for each additional hour....
