I work in the office and I have 5 shirts , one for each day. I 've been wearing them for 5 months. When Shall I buy new ones and forget these ones?!

I would at least have a two weeks, supply of shirts. At least two weeks, of trousers, if not more. A month supply. |

If your shirts are getting frayed collars or cuffs, it's probably time for new ones. Likewise for the trousers - if they're becoming worn, then replace them. |

Shirts should be tossed when "irish pennents" start showing (those loose threads which come out of nowhere) or just before you think someone will notice the grungy look.
If they are getting thin and you can see your nipples, it's offensive and unprofessional. Toss the shirt and buy a new one with a higher thread count.
I keep 6 pairs of pants only because I don't do laundry that often. As soon as my shirts or pants start forming little fuzz-balls on them, they go in the trash. |

Wow so every week you wear the same thing? Go stop by a Ross, Kohls, TJ Maxx or something and get some more dress shirts. Their pretty cheap, only 10 dollars for a shirt.
I'd say it's time for a new wardrobe. |

Suggest you have 10 shirts with 5 pairs of pants ready for each week. Different colored shirts say that you are a determined person - not a lazy one. |

Now it all depends on how your clothes are laundered because if you wash them then they probably won't last as long as if you take them to the cleaners not to mention on the quality of your clothes better quality then you don't need quantity OK i hopes this helps p.s I would still have at least 2 white 2 blue and maybe 3-4 earth tone and a lots of ties like 10-20 that way you can mix it up and the pants your basic grey khaki and black 2 of each maybe jazz it up with some pin stripe bottoms now that's just me! |

wow, im guessing our coworkers r getting pretty sick of seeing u in the same shirts all the times... well for shirts you should constantly get new ones, like after you've worn each of your shirt twice or so, get a couple new ones, that way u can change the new between the old
as to th pants, you should have at least 5, i suggest black pinstripes and gray pinstrips, you should also get a pair of beige ones

Appearance is essential in any business and clearly you need to get your self more clothes. Not to compare but my husband has like 20 shirts, 10 trousers and 10 suite and I still urge him to buy more. |

The people in your office have already noticed that there may be a money issue with you... or that's at least the impression you give off. "He doesn't have money to buy clothes, what's wrong with him?" I personally think 1 1/2 weeks to 2 weeks of clothing should suffice. I wear a uniform and always have to do laundry mid week. I hate it.
Try some places like Ross, JCPenny or heck even Goodwill. I know people these days don't want to admit they shop at goodwill but I DO! Don't hate! It's ironed and I don't stink!
If money isn't the issue and it's more along the lines of you don't know what to buy. Ask a female! We know all lol
If you don't have any "friends" then just ask the sales clerk or muster up and ask a female around the department.. "excuse me do you think it looks good?"

umm too be serious.....this is fine....aslong as you dont STINK...but to be real...people already realized you dont have much of clothes..but if they stay fresh lookin ( ironed, clean) thn thats all that counts...but yea u should have at least 5 trousers and 8-12 shirts/....i have prob 15 shirts and 6 trousers and ive just started my new job 4 months ago...i buy a new work fit like every check or so..Gotta Stay LooKn Fly '..... |
