Iam glad you asked this question. I feel that a smart trip every year would help out a lot. I would suggest though that you have a Representative over there that can keep in front of your clients. If you don't have a bit of face time with them, someone else will.

If you were buying a product, would you rather see the web page for it, or would you rather see the person who stands behind that product. A personal touch in sales is a must, be it corporate sales or used cars, Presence and presentation make all the difference. |

you ever heard the saying your presence is present enough??? well see talking on the phone or through other forms of communication you still are missing that person to person relationship that can make a client feel they are important i think you would only be hurting your own chances of roping in your client by making that meeting up obsolete |

It's always best to put a face with the company you are buying product from. They should know your face (occasional visits), but not always see your face (too many visits). You don't want to take up too much of their time. Keep it short and sweet. |

It's much less important than it once was, but occasional face-to-face contact still goes far to cement the relationship that you are seeking to establish. |

I think a face to face meeting goes along way. It's hard to trust or believe in someone that can put in words anything they think you want to hear(or see). But by sitting down and talking and discussing possible ventures, you get alot more insight into the other person. Some communication over the internet is ok for some things. But if your considering a long term deal with someone, I think having that personal relationship is going to help you more in the long run. If taking a trip helps you make or break a contract, then why wait? |
