I sell on ebay too and i mainly use tons of news paper.....Wrap it in layers and layers of news paper and than stuff news papers all around it very tight, fill the box full of papers, when you can't get anymore in it...tape it....Give it a shake and see if you hear anything moving around.......Don't hear anything, than it's good to go.........Good luck.......Remember ...Pack tight |

Give it to DHL or some professional shipping company. They will settle the stuff. Either that, or asked them for advice.
If they broke it, haha~~~ it's their business.. :P |

I would pay the few extra bucks to have it professionally packaged and then insured. If you had that cost built into your Ebay bid price, it will not be anything out of your pocket. If you did not, it might cost you a little, but it is still worth it if it saves you an angry customer later. |

Bubble wrap the lamp and put it in a box with packing peanuts. Put the box into another larger box with more peanuts so the first box is nested with peanut padding.
It's a lot more work and weight to pack this way but it's much safer!
Good luck! |

I would take it apart as much as you can. wrap each piece in bubble wrap and then take it to a shipping place that will put it in a box or boxes and fill it with foam peanuts. these places specialize in making sure stuff doesn't break during shipping. |

You can't. Have you ever seen the way Fex Ex and UPS handles packages??? It's scary. They just throw stuff around. Good luck to you. |

bubble wrap and make sure it can't move around in the box. I would also get the shipping insurance. |

Just a thought you sold yourself short if its an antique.
however get a big box and a lot of packing peanuts, put a little on the bottom and as you are setting the lamp in the box slowly put more packing peanuts in the box until it is covered you can also wrap the lamp depending on the size with paper around it in certain areas if there is any glass. |

I worked as a Fed Ex Package handler for a couple of weeks one summer. Those packages are stepped on, kicked, thrown, and just beaten up in general. My advice is to pack it up with as many of those energy absorbing things as possible, like those clear plastic popper things and that white styrofoam stuff. The term FRAGILE written on the box meant nothing to me or anyone else. It was treated the same. |
