I think that you have to consider the setting in which you will be selling these items. It seems to me that selling these items requires some sort of moment of inspiration or emotional connection that would be difficult to establish in the setting of a cart/kiosk. Think about the companies who are the most successful in these settings. Purveyors of cell-phones/accessories seem to do well. Why? People shopping for these items are seeking convenience, nothing more. Inspiration or emotional connection is not really important. If you are determined to sell the items you described, you should think about how your ideal customer thinks. You should think about the kind of setting that would help inspire a purchase. Maybe saving more capital or putting together a better biz-plan and applying for a loan might help you finance a small store-front in the right kind of neighborhood where you ideal customer is likely to be seeking out the experience you can provide. |

I don't know if this is applicable - but I have a friend who sells t-shirts and similar stuff in kiosks in malls and flea markets, and he's VERY successful. His business tends to be seasonal, though (he does better around the holidays and in the summer), so you should probably plan for that. |

I love little unique type trinkets...so I would at least stop and look. Remember you have to make enough to rent your space and pay someone minimum wage to man your kiosk.

I would suggest first trying online. There are many great sites to sell unique, handmade products. My favorite is www.etsy.com. They have beautiful things! Ebay is also an easy one--I know a number of people who make good money from selling their homemade jewelry on ebay.
I only speak from personal experience when I say that I don't pay attention to mall kiosks. I'm sure you'll get a good amount of business, however, and if you do an online site in addition to the kiosk, you'll reach a much MUCH larger number of potential buyers. Plus, people tend to "impulse buy" more frequently online.
