Check at your school. We have looked there for help. Also, daycare centers. Many of them have waiting lists. They might be able to help refer people to you for overflow during the day, and current customers for evening jobs. |

many churches have full time development centers for young children... health clubs usualy have a day care you could get a job at... and some large corperations have a day care center for their employees... try these. i hope you find a job!!! |

If you live in a friendly neighborhood, go door-to-door and let them know about you and your services. Have a flyer handy to pass out! My neighbor actually put flyers in our mailboxes asking for a sitter!! |

Depending on what city you are in, check into the the Red Cross babysitting classes. It will give you the ability to show potential parents that you have gone through training and are capable of competently caring for their children. Also, in some cities, the Red Cross offers referrals.
You can look in the phone book for referral companies. In AZ there is one called Parents Time Off. The babysitters are screened and tested to make sure they know what to do. This again helps to make you look legit.
Put a flyer up at the local community college and the grocery stores near you. Ask your parents if they could post a flyer on at their work on the community board (if they have one).
