take some business classes, accounting, economy, small business. also learn word, excel, and quickbooks, and be comfortable emailing.
get a DBA name if you like and register the name with the county. get a business bank account.
find suppliers, market your product locally or online, both is better.
for payment accepting options look into paypal, paydotcom, or costco. |

Well if your business includes diamonds it will take a bit. If your just wanting to sell diffrent types of non gold or diamond jewelry you would need to find a cheap suppling company perferable on that also warehouses the items so you have no stocking or investment (not major) . That would be idea as you would be a broker and get paid from the supply company and the customer. There are alot of wharehouses that dropship for you after you complete the sale. You will need a website and some marketing skills . This way you will have low overhead while your getting started . The idea of business accounts and incorporation can be put off until your gross income is over 12k a year and most starter web sites come with a shopping cart to handle all your payments.
