Impossible to summarize, but here go some key issues:
First, location, location and location. Somebody mentioned proximity to workers traffic. Its crucial.
This is not absolute because you could think about a delivery system, but the start up would be much slower. But with less investment.
Secondly, test your sandwiches among those who would buy them.
Thirdly, try to invent something different.
Lastly, sample, sample and sample. If you are not in a high traffic street, sample much more.
But think, if you would receive a sample, would you call or walk to your place? Location is the most important issue. |

I'd say just join in on the Subway bandwagon or at least go learn from them first. They have built up a great reputation for the last decade. Seriously when I was young Subway was not as big as it is now. Their advertising of healthy and delicious looking sandwiches have made them a huge success. Just look at how all the fast food joints have started to change. Ever since there has beeen more and more talk about our children becoming obese businesses have been building on that and there have been many success stories. |

I make much more profit on freshly made 'while you wait' sandwiches that those soggy in the plastic packet pre made things. Be sure to use good quality ingredients and plenty of them. People pay a slight premium for this which more than cover the additional cost. Also keep bringing in new ideas for fillings alongside the old favourites - some people like routine, some variety. Good luck! (And just ignore those who have nothing better to do with their time than point out a spelling mistake) |

Make some WITHOUT mayo as some people do hate it and wont buy sandwiches (like my husband)
Dont be to mean with the filling, if you sell a chicken salad sandwich people would actually like more than a bit sized peice of chicken one slice of tomatoe and a single slice of cucuber and one lettice leaf and no mayo
this was almost one for the trades discriptions act people if the company had not delt with it so well |
