Your local library might hang them for you with price tags. You could try exhibiting them at local fairs and local art exhibits. Local shops, especially small businesses will do that for you if you ask nicely. Or as one has already suggested, try ebay. My mum sells hers through local craft fairs and local art exhibits. |

There are many options - depending on the style and subject of your paintings you could approach local restaurants, bars, hotels in the area you live etc they often agree to hang up work and would pass on your card if anybody is interested in buying one.
Or you set up a website and sell them online?
Good luck!!! :) |

VERy vEry very interesting mate
I was painting , myself at the time etc.. and i will be starting up again, it's a matter of time only and I would like to know how to sell without too much stress.
In France one can easily agree with the owner of a bar or whatever to exhibit paintings and also near a river or around a fountain in town really on the street or on a market stall but here inUK who knows!?. Sunday mornings in a townhall?? church halls?? providing some bottles of wine and snacks?, fairs, may be pubs?/. Of course art galleries but they take over 60% of your money. I have a web site about my paintings ( old ones) you can view it www.artphenomade.com I will also welcome any tips on etiennerega@hotmail.com
Have fun and happiness for all

See if your town has a local art festival drop them off at a gallery and local eateries is a good idea. Ask them to hang them and the price - with your information.
Create a web site / blog and invite people to them or list one on an online auction. |

either set up your own web site and sell it or you could open an ebay shop and sell. A great place to find contacts to sell and even how to open exhibitions is http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/
You could try charity fund raising events, offer a few paintings there and sell the rest, this will get your name known at least.
Good luck |

Don't wait forever! Do it, ASAP!
You don't want to end up, like one of MY favourite painters, - the great VINCENT van GOGH, - who hardly, sold a SINGLE painting, whilst he was alive!
Like most people, who have been described using the word, "GENIUS", - which, I, personally, think that he WAS, - he died, - apparently, by his OWN HAND, according to historians, - almost PENNILESS! |

We have an art shop and we put paintings in the window on our easels that we sell, they add to the display and make the window quite colourful. We only take a small amount usually a tenner.Try approaching art shops in your area. |

Here in London painters/artists can sell their works along the railings of Green Park [Piccadilly] on a Sunday morning. Not sure exactly how to go about it, but contact Westminster City Corporation and rent a pitch from them. Not sure what the fee is.
In addition to being able to sell your works to the public, you'll also be amongst a whole bunch of other artists doing the same thing.
Contact and networking is the answer.
If you are not living or are unable to get to London as suggested above, see if there is a similar outlet somewhere near where you live. |

You could try EBay, but the commissions seem a little high. Do a website and show digital pictures of your paintings and have a checkout for people to buy them. Even sell limited edition prints - signed of course. get some free publicity by showing them in "open" art exhibitions too. |

Best advice (and this comes from a man who enjoys art) is make paintings AFFORDABLE. I have been in many a art shop, fell in love with a painting and had to walk away due to the price tag being more then my current life savings. It is truly heartbreaking. |

You can also check with your Public Library, they may agree to display your work, even a local hospital may agree to display your work. If you have an Art Gallery near you, you could contact them. Also keep an eye out for local art shows!! |
