I would give 10% to our church. Then spend 5,000 on a vacation for my children, husband and myself. I would buy a new (used, but new to me) mini van for about 10,000. (Hey, I need a mini van. I have FIVE kids.) I would sell my current mini van and get about 2000.00 of that back though. That leaves me 32,000.00. I would put 12,000 into savings. Put 3,000 in my eldest son's account (who is getting a car for his 16th birthday in May 2008.) I would buy a new fridge for about 1,000...a new living room suite for 1,500. (Still have 14,500 left!) I would buy clothes and shoes for all of my kids...maybe even myself and the husband. About 1,000.00. I would spend $3000 doing landscaping to my front yard...umm...pave my ugly driveway for about 1500. Wow, I still have 9,000...Oh yeah, I would pay my homeowners and car insurance for a full year. Around 2,000. I would definitely give 2000 to my parents. With the remaining 5000 I would probably buy a big screen TV, DVD recorder, washer and dryer, a nice big monitor for my computer with any remaining going towards paying a credit to my utility companies.

Lol, I was just thinking this! Since I work at a service desk which deals with the lotto too, I dream of winning money...
What I would do? Pay off my car, pay off student loans, and if I had enough... Try to go to school for something different. (went for graphic design first, but now I'm not so sure it's what I want) If not, then buy a bunch of rock tees, and band stuff... Um, I dunno what else. |

I've had it, and I invested half of it in the market, and due to our wonderful economic state, it's not doing what I had imagined. The other half went to the desires of my heart, which are fleeting....I believe King Solomon would have described it as "a chasing of the wind". I guess looking back over it, I would have taken 5k to tackle my "desires of the heart"; AT LEAST 5k SHOULD go to "someone else" (some sort of religious affiliation or charity network); 10K would go towards "investing in my hobby", to make my dreams what they can be, but at the same time keep me aware of why I am STILL WORKING....important! The rest I would invest in the best/safest/most profitable investment I could find....of course with careful research and sound advice. Most people are quite lucky to get 50K "to spend"....If I could do it over again, that is how I would go about it~

First, I want to share half of it to the needy and charity works because life is about living and giving a helping hand for others. And there is a real sense of priceless satisfaction and fulfilness when we help and serve others.

Well I would buy a car... not like an expensive one but like 20k... then i would buy lots and lots and lots of CD's about 10k worth.... what i like CD's and then i would have 5k to just have fun then put the rest in the bank to gain interest and stuff :D but i dont think im ever gonna get that much.... |
