Try www.websolutionsmd.com They can setup a good e-commerce site for you. It is not free but at a reasonable price. I've used them. If you know how to write html etc. use Network solution or Google to host your website. There is no real good free web server to host ecommerce. Network Solution will cost some money. Google App is somewhat free.
I used websolutionmd to develop my website and I have Network solution host my site. Then I used Google App to handle my information site. |

Don't - it will look amateur. Invest a few hundred quid in a good design. It needs to be rationalised with your company literature, logo etc. Look at some sites that you like the look of and use these to show the designer what you need. Well, you can get professionals to design your website for you for free, but then how will you host it? How will you generate traffic to your product? How will they know you exist? I know several people with a great product that they just cannot sell on-line. No traffic!

If you want a truly professional website, there really aren't any solutions that are free. Anyone that builds your site for "free" or charges a fee that is considerably lower than the typical developers charge these days is ripping you off in some way. Unless you are a graphic designer AND web developer by trade I strongly discourage you from building a site yourself. I work for a company that produces websites and marketing materials for financial advisors and trust me, you want to invest in a quality website even if the costs are high. You'll thank yourself in the long run. |
