Write a business plan
Discuss and agree with peers/family
Consider finance options - bank, credit cards, savings
Prepare safety net for "worst case" scenario
Research business help tools - often free advise is given
Find lawyer and accountant
Avoid busines partner unless they have the same drive and determination you do and going to input the same effort/money and time.

It helps if you know what it is you want out of a business. Do you have any business ideas? Have you thought about franchises? If you look up business ideas in google or yahoo you will get zillions of ideas. Do you have any skills or experience in a specific industry? What are you interested in, what have you always wanted to do? Who do you admire and what do they do? I have an online businesses that I love. I too want to start another business but L.L.C. of course. Still my search for a grant for small business was a dead end. You’ll have to fund it yourself, either with help of friends, family, or loan unless you intend to be nonprofit.
The best way would be a good book from, SBA, SCORE, or other local economic development association such as Chamber of Commerce. The county clerk will be the first stop on the list for dba (doing business as) this will insure no one in the county / state is using the chosen business name. Then file the articles of organization with secretary of state. Be sure to capitalize all letters of the company name on all documents even your own and include the abbreviation for Limited Liability Company, as this will protect your personal assets; not business in the event of a suit. Your social security number will serve as your tax id unless you have too many employees in which case you will file for new tax id with IRS. |

hi starting a business good fun am just setting up my own courier company best way i found is to an action plan put everything down you know about what your going into search on google make sure you filled all the pot holes in. as for funds dont get a loan you want less overheads plus if your business failed you still have to pay back the loan. let me know what type of business your going in to and how much investment do you need? |
