There is a local festival in my city in a few weeks. And I am trying to raise money, along with my fellow classmates, for our ringdance next year. I need lots of idea for this festival. We want to sell something, or do something (like face paints etc.) to raise a bunch of money. PLEASE GIVE IDEAS! LOTS OF THEM. Here is the catch. We cannot do the same thing someone else is doing so we need something diffrent. PLEASE HELP! 10 points will be awarded to whoever gives the most creative and best amount of answers. |

Bake Sale, Cake Walk, Dunking Booth, Throw a pie, horse shoes, craft sale, raffle, sell burgers and hot dogs, you could even try tie dyed t-shirts. |

You must check with the city, but if you can, set up a rest and play area for children under 12 ... then you can babysit while the parents are at the festival ... have fun stuff for the kids to do, and charge a good rate for half an hour ... that way even the poorest can use your services and you should 'clean up' ... if you say this is for your classmates 'ringdance' then you may actually also get donations, too. Good luck. |

Well what we would do is go to local shops and ask them to donate items, then we would raffle off the items. So the more raffles you sell the more you make, you can have the drawing at the festival. |

ask for donantions like fred suggested as prizes to a game but do a game that they are a garanteed winner, that will get people to spend there money. Or sell drinks or ice cream, like snow cones. |

1. Buy some plain butter cookies.
2. Buy varieties of icy tube in different colors.
3. Sale per cookie and the buyer got to create their own pattern on the cookie. Kids love it. Cost per piece is around 40 cents. you can sell for 65cents.
In order to avoid the wasting of the icy. You better create some sample and ask kid to copy it or held a competition. |

A jail booth is always fun. People pay a dollar and pick a friend to lock up, and then the person has to stay in the "jail house" (usually just a booth with homemade bars) for 10 minutes, or however long the person paid for. Or else they can post bail by paying another dollar. Its fun for other people cuz they get to mess with their friends, and its also fun for the people working the booth cuz they get to play "the warden" and maybe have fake handcuffs or something.
So when a person pays to get someone locked up, you just follow them back to their friends and "arrest" them. |

1. Laser Tag. (Get some businesses to donate money so you can buy laster tag guns and vests and then set up barriers and charge people $5.00 a game)
2. Paint Ball (it's a lil more expensive but if you can get some guns and set up targets, kids love that or even play paint ball get some vests and barriers and charge $5.00 a game)
3. Dunk Tank (Cheaper Idea, get someone who is willing to donate their time and set up a dunk tank. Get some baseballs and have people stand 20 feet back and let them throw at the target and knock your dedicated person into the water. It's fun and does make money.)
4. Balloon Bounce (A bit more expensive, but if you could rent out those big bouncers for the lil ones I know they enjoy that.)
5. Bake Sale (Have your friends help you bake cakes and brownies and cookies and sell a slice of cake, a brownie, or a cookie for a $1.50 or maybe even raffle off a whole cake.)
6. Bob for Apples (Cheaper Idea, get a large barrel or empty plastic container and fill it with water and apples, charge $1.00 and have people bob for apples, it's a tasty treat, and a fun game)
7. Guitar Hero (Cheaper Idea, set up a big tent and I'm sure someone you know has guitar hero, hold guitar hero contests and whoever gets the most points give a $5.00 prize or something. Charge $.50 a round.)
8. Picture booth (Set up a laptop somewhere, underneath a tent, and have someone with a digital camera take pictures of people and their friends, hook it up to the laptop and print them out for them. But set up a cute background for them, like a old time theme, or a rock n' roll theme, they'll be attracted to your idea right away. (Charge $5.00 for a picture.)

If you go to RelayforLife.org it can provide a ton of ideas on how to fundraise. It's got a lot of great ideas for anything like that.
Last week at our Relay we did a Red Bull Pong game-- where folks payed for a chance to play.
There's aways raffle tickets, duck pond, wedding/divorce chaple, and other carnival type things...
Baked goods are aways good-- and even salty treats and drinks go well too...
Painting faces is good-- you could also try colored hair spray.

kissing booths are always fun...... if the festival is going to get kinda of crowded you could do the hair wraps... they are really easy to do... ( you know how they take the colored thread and wrap a small piece of hair and the put the bead on the end) you could charge five dollars for those... and raise money before the festival to buy the supplies!
you could rent the necessary equiptment to make kettlecorn.( yummy)
sell raffle tickets and the figure out a super cool prize... maybe have some local businesses donate gift certificates and the prize could be a super cool goodie bag filled with all kinds of great things.
face painting is always a good idea.
