Heck no never to to late to start your goals, which at least you have goals unlike many adults in this world. I may be only 20 years old but with 2 business's successfully sold and starting up another with a friend. My goals never end.
I'm gonna tell you a story about my step-dad, he went to college to be a police officer, after that was a police officer up until last year. He is 39 years old when he resigned from hsi job cause he got cought with DUI which where I live everyone is out to get teh cops, and it was a unlucky night for him and yeah he is very responsible. Anyways with 4 kids and a wife, and a house to pay for and 2 cars, my mom would not be able to afford everything since she is a registerd nurse and can work so many hours. Anyways so he resigned and yeah no he seal insurance and has never been to school for it, or anything and works for a big company out of Chicago and yeah so even though he has failed in life, he still had goals to complete may not be the same as yours but, yet he got right back up to achieve them. |

Not too old at all. Keep in mind that you will probably live longer, work longer, and play longer than the generations that came before you.
No wife, no children, and a college degree...might want to start a plan to put together a war chest. Even if a job isn't satisfying, it can help you accumulate what you need to do what you want.
Don't be afraid to try something radical career-wise. Without any major responsibilities, you can afford to take some chances, and you might be surprised at some of your choices. |

It's never to late to pursue your dreams!
Simply look at your life and write lists of what you like and what you don't. Then research research research areas of career that interest you. Eventually, you will be able to weed out what doesn't interest you, and look at others that do.
Take aptitude/ career placement tests once a year until you find whats right for you. Taking the tests on a yearly basis (until you find the right path) helps you see how you have grown and your interests have changed over the past year. Again, research research research the areas that line up with how you feel and how you tested.
Try different jobs. It's ok to "find your career." It's similar to "finding yourself." They are very much alike when you consider that finding the right career means finding something that makes you happy each day and pays you for that benefit.
Best of luck to you with your search. Keep the faith! |

It is never too late to start anything. What kind of business do you wnat to own? You just have to have the will and motivation for it and be resourcefull...anything is possible. I actually work for a financial firm and it's pretty awesome it's kinda like owning your own business. |

Wow why does this question seem to hit home for me??? Maybe because I'm 43 TODAY and have had my life turned upside down over the past few years. Several years ago I worked in the finance industry for a small brokerage firm in Dallas. Unfortunately I what I saw in the office by some brokers (taught by the lead man) wasn't always good. So after a car accident sent me to live with my parents in a very small town south of Pittsburgh I had to dig deep for a fresh start.
My suggestion to you is to do your research now. If you have a job (that's not satisfing) just think of it as a stepping stone. This is what I'm doing currently I'm working as a manager for a large retail company but I'm also taking advantage of the benefits like 401K and tuition reimbursement.
Go to your local library (if you don't already have a card -get one) check out the books on opening a business, in the finance industry or whatever you are interested in. Check out websites Ameriprise.com is growing and they need financial planners. Also when you find an area that you like go with that and brainstorm on how you can build on it. For example I met a guy in Dallas years ago that played the trumpet but he was having a hard time getting enough gigs to support himself so he mentioned he might have to get an office job. I asked him if that's what he really wanted to do when he said no I told him to find a way to make more money on what he loves to do. I gave him the idea of writing children's books on jazz. He had the look and the name ...I could just visualize a little Freddie Jones with dredlocks taking adventures with his little trumpet teaching all the other kids about the birth of Jazz. He liked the idea but I'm not sure he ever used it.
Here's a book -The millionair next door and The Millionair mind. Both are fantistic books ..a must read or in our case we got the audio book. If you haven't checked out MSNBC's new show "The Millionair Inside" check it out! Another good book is Rich dad Poor dad. All of these reference what these guys did to change their lives. You might not want to be a millionair like them -that's okay research them for their ways of "thinking outside the box". |

Not at all. You still have plenty of time. If you want to get into brokering businesses, call up some brokers and take them out to lunch and see what it's all about. That's the type of job you have to network yourself into. |

Your not alone because most people that I know don't find their jobs satisfying. You have a good major so while your job may not be fulfilling there are probably more opportunities available. I think you should not give up your goal as being a business broker. Maybe you should consider looking for a business partner or try to looking into starting a business of your own if its possible. Good luck. |

At 33 yrs old, you're wondering if you're too old? There have been many people in their 50's & 60's that have been downsized & have lost everything & have had to start over at that age & have still been able to achieve their goals!! So, you still have plenty of time left to achieve your goals! I have been working with a 15 yr old company for quite a while now, & I work it both on & off the internet. No lotions, potions or pills to buy either! If you want more info, email me at jeff@jjteam.com & I will give you my website to check out. |

It is never too late to get your life and track or utimately achieve your goals. You have to change your attitude or outlook on you current situation. Don't ask yourself if you can do it, rather, tell yourself you can and you will. Give yourself that confidence to reach the sky. Now is as good a time as ever for you since you don't have any family obligations because working hard at your goals will be time consuming so do it now. Since you know what you want to do, sit down and take some time to come up with a plan. It will pay off in the end. Remember what Antoine de Saint-Exupery said
" A goal without a plan is just a wish. "
Good Luck!!! |

Are you kidding? You are so young and have a very reasonable goal. I don't know what area you are in, but perhaps you can contact Sunbelt Business Brokers and inquire on how to become a broker. Each office has a managing broker, so you should be able to find one that will work with you. It's commission only, so you'll have to hustle. It would be a great way to learn about the types of business opportunities available for when you are ready to buy. Best of luck to you! |

No. You can do it.
The key is small, easy steps. Get your goal, break it into small steps; motivate yourself by giving yourself a clear reward (need not be expensive) for each step in the right direction.
Expect problems and difficulties along the way; this is not a sign of trouble but they happen to everyone. Give them no importance, but instead focus again on getting the next step done. Do not give up, focus on the small next step; you will be surprised what you have accomplished in two years.
So, you must first decide: what is your first important goal to get your life on track? Becoming a broker... well, how does one do that? write reasonable steps, and then take one step at a time. |

Its never too late. Keep your eyes focused on God and he will reveal to you his purpose for your life. You never know your purpose or goal could be completely different than what God has planned for you. Just seek him and you will reach your goal no matter what it is and you'll be a million times happier and satisfied than you thought you could ever be. Good Luck and God Bless. |
