It depends on you employment terms. It is worth noting that almost all indian states; doctors in government service are permitted to do private practice. So check your employment contract.

There's not enough information to give you an accurate answer.
It depends on the paperwork that you signed. If there's a confidentiality or a non-compete clause/paperwork that you signed, then no you can not. If you didn't sign anything that can be construed as proprietary/confidentiality/non-compete then you're probably in the clear. Your employer may not like it though, best to not let them know about it.
Remember that as an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for paying taxes seperately and you enter into a whole new area of tax law with tax breaks. In the US, you will not got a W2 or fill out a W4, you'll be a 1099 employee. Meaning you will be responsible for tracking your billing, receipts, expenses, writeoffs, etc and you will have to present that to pay your taxes. Taxes will not be taken out of your checks. You will not be filing for a return, you'll be filing to pay on that job, but your other job will remain the same. |
