identify your markets and potential clients, give a 10% buffer that they will require your service within first 1 fiscal year, calculate top down on your expenditures and operational expenses, do alot of math calculations... voila.. now you have a business plan... then do the cash flow projections. get the breakeven points... work the plan... marketing, sales, products segmentation... calculate the return of investments.. then expand the plans.. give a three year portfolio... lots of investers will joint venture... if you are successful in the operations... |

Notwithstanding the type of business - there are many basics of business planning that still apply. In BC (Canada) there are several resources available on line. www.smallbusinessbc.ca is a good resource. Don't let the fact that people do not take your concept seriously take away from the importance of planning. Remember, it is all about your customer and not the world at large. |

Well you've got the most difficult part completed ... you know what business you want to start. You can purchase a business plan from a local office supply store or a bookstore.
I also recommend you visit the following web site: http://easystepkits.com/sba/. This web site offers an SBA Loan Easy-Step 123 Kit for an investment of $419.00. You'll probably find a business plan at a cheaper price but I caution you that cheaper plans may not have all the necessary forms and resources you'll need.
