Boy, who ever said get ready for the spam was right. Here is my suggestion. It starts with getting educated on how to tell the good ones from the bad ones. I wrote a blog about this recently and invite you to read it... link can be found in the second paragraph of my profile here. It's all generic information, but will give you some good tips.
Finding a legit one is tough. Finding one with a good comp plan is even tougher but doing your due dilligence will get you there. For instance, let's say you join a company that says they pay up to 28%, if you look at the comp plan, you don't get near that until you have a BUNCH of people signing up buying product. Otherwise your payout is only 2%-5%.
Most people don't go that far, they just read it's 'free' and jump right in. Free is not the best, but there are limits on what you should invest in a home based business. My blog covers some of that.
And if you have to be in more than one company to make any money, there is something definately wrong.

Honestly, I've tried a bunch too, I'm in no way independantly wealthy and it takes a lot of work and a lot of time. For people looking for quick and easy - you have better chances with the lottery. It's no easy feat to build a business from nothing - even when you have massive support. Now, on that note - feel free to check out what I do.

Yes. There are some that work and some that don't. The ones that don't are those which are not legitimate businesses and just get-rich quick schemes. Anything takes TIME and WORK. Just my tidbits...i've tried several things, the two that have worked for me are dropshipping and internet marketing.

I am playing with a website called fadedfootsteps.com and it is entirely free. I have been researching Civil War veterans and plotting the locations of the graves with GPS and including pictures to help other people interested in history and veterans. The site is free and it allows me to place my free Amazon associate or affiliate HTML links to sell related products like books on the Civil War and Civil War artifacts. Since I use my own HTML Code, the site is sending small deposits directly to my bank account and hopefully the amounts will grow as the website grows. It is a young site (only 3 months old) but it has some potential for residual income and is easy to use. I live in the West Michigan area so most of the postings are from that area and the rest of the country is wide open. If you have a related website, you can also link back to your site on any page you build. |

If you want a home business to start, just find out what you are good at. Do some research to find out how many people search that on google, msn, and yahoo. If there are over 10 million people, it's probably a hard niche to setup unless you can offer something others don't. My solution to this is when you find something your good at, develop an e-book (pdf) and sell it on ebay. Start a blog and get more clients so they can check out your listing on ebay and you never know. You might get lucky and sell one e-book for $2000+. It costs about 60 cents to post an item on ebay. When they pay for the item, send them the file by email. Sign up for paypal to accept payments or google checkout. goodluck to you! |
