I have recently bought a pair of MK4 Hot PInk (well they were meant to be) from ebay, I found out that they were fake as when they arrived from China they did not work (what a surprise) so I tried to register them and it dosnt work I paid £95 for them, and when reported to ebay they are very unhelpful, and would not help me get my money back I had to speak to Paypal, and they are very unhelpful as well. I am very angry I am now £95 out of pocket. And Ebay are still allowing people to sell Fake GHDs. I think Ebay should be closed down because I cant be the only person who this has happened to. I AM SO ANGRY AND UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... |

Unfortunately Ebay is a bit like that! I wouldnt spend a lot of money on anything on there. I also avoid anything that has to be shipped from abroad as you are more likely to be dissapointed! It is a shame it isnt regulated better and I think ultimately this will be Ebays downfall! |

I bet you are i would be. Did you read the listing properly as some where it usually says they are not real. Can you not get a refund? I never buy expensive things of eBay just in case it is a Dud. |

You can't expect ebay to close down just because you bought faulty goods no offence but there are actually decent sellers and buys on there and something so big is bound to attract the conartists that's why they have the whole feedback thing so you can see who you are buying from before hand, iv been ripped of a couple of times only out of too many times to count when i have bought off their and ebay usually gets my money back.
Calm down they cannot monitor everyhint sold on there if you hate it so much because you are mad right now just dont use ebay not go saying it should be closed down some people earn a lievlyhood (honestly) from there. |

Unfortunately the majority of fakes on eBay are from China jewellery & electrical goods. I for one will now not buy on E-Bay from China, Until they as a whole get a good record for items manufactured there, at least when you buy a Chinese manufactured item in this country, you have a recourse with the retailer and not with the manufacturer
I am sorry that you have been duped by unscrupulous sales in China, I feel that E-Bay and Pay-pal Could be more helpful in this matter, money in Britain is hard earned and should not be conned out of you this way without E-bay and Pay-pal investigating it, push them !

It don't matter if its on the Internet or your local shop... you should NEVER pay for things you have not got.
If a stranger came up to you on the street and said "Give me some money and I will go and get you something" would you!!!
well you are doing the same thing on EBay. you are giving them the money and you are never sure that you will get ANYTHING |

i bought some off ebay for xmas, and they were fantastic. I try to get some which are local to me if i can, so i can pick them up therefore knowing im getting them and not paying p+p. i never buy out of the UK, its just too risky, as you have demonstrated. |

man poor you! it is completely possible to get your money back from ebay, as my boyfriend managed it after they charged him for not selling to a fake bidder, but it did take a while. keep at them, and keep copies and records of all your correspndance with them. If after a while nothing has been done, either get some advice from a solicitor or phone watchdog. they've been dealing with a lot of ebay claims recently, so will be able to help you.
i feel really sorry for you, it's horrible when something like this happens. keep at them! they will crumble eventually:) |
