I am thinking of starting up an internet based business?

I tried to do this a few years ago but unfortunately lost a fair amount of money since it did not take off.

Is anybody aware of a good internet based businees or a website which could give me ideas?

I am looking for something which would generate a decent income and perpared to give up my day job and do this full time.

what special expertise can you or your relatives offer? the internet is just a tool of business, like a truck, a telephone, a fax machine. A business should be viable without the internet. eg If the web did not exist Amazon could still be a mail-order business, being online just helped them to grow quickly (but VERY expensively, they are only just showing a profit)

You are starting from totally the wrong angle and attitude.

Businesses succeed because they provide product or services poeple want, at a price they are winning to pay, and having competitive differentiators..

So, you need to be thinking about products or services first, when you hit a good one, THEN you set up to sell it.
