Homemade vanilla sells well. Make it now and let it sit for 6 weeks. Bottle and sell it in August. Until then, go with one of the other ideas. I like to buy homemade breads at the farmers market. Here's a great pita bread recipe that I think would sell well. I make them with whole wheat flour.

Do some proper market research in the market you intend to sell at. Ask visitors what other products they'd like to see there, or what they'd buy if they were available. Each market has its own particular strengths - find something complementary. For example, if there is a sausage seller, make pickles - they also don't go off and there is more chance of you being able to sell, if not at one market, then over a number of consecutive ones. |

you can try many things...using some of whats in the market or what ever is in season and bake your desires. or, perhaps you can even create some sort of reusable bagette or basket of course for produce shoppers. if you see them there, most likely they are relgulars, it would be a good idea to let them know, or show them that you're making their shopping experience a lot easer., so get crafty and once you start getting more involved, dont 4get ur bzness cards. |

I've never been to a real fm, so I'm flying blind.
Cookies and brownies you can sell in small batches. If they don't sell, you can freeze them for next week or your kids.
Mix walnuts and raisins and sell them in zipper bags.
Or pecans and chocolate chips.
A practical craft, like potholders.
A unique Christmas decoration.
Bird houses (only a couple at a time).
What have you tried? Do you know why it didn't work? |
