I have a Gift Basket shop , what else would be good to sell to keep the shop making money?

Aromatherapy candles and bath salts.

I sell bath and body products and often assemble in gifts arrangements. They may work for you as well. The company I associate with is called Country Bunny Bath and Body out of Nixa, MO.

Start marketing to your local corporate market. This would include Realtors, mortgage companies, insurance companies, etc. If you start thinking, there are hundreds of different areas that you could target. Once you get these folks ordering and coming into your store, you'll find that you'll sell more personal gift baskets as well.

Gift Baskets always go well with greeting cards and balloons. It also depends on your clientele.
If you have alot of businesses then you might want to consider just the staples, if you have a shop in a residential area, you might want a bigger variety.

You could let people bring in the items that they want in the gift basket and charge to "gift wrap" the item into a special gift basket. You could have colored sheared paper, glitter sprinkles. colored ribbon, balloons, as extras to include into the basket to make the basket more personal. You could then charge for the wrap, without having to purchase say like baby, or wedding shower items.

Start your own brand of products for your baskets... perhaps your own wine, smoked meats, candy, soaps, or crafts.

churchonthewayseniors
fill some baskets with silk flower arrangements...
take some mini wicker pieces and make mobiles and sell......
teach basket designing, crafts, crochet, knitting
offer make your own gifts baskets, have items to put in it... small perfumes, other items to put in it....gift cards, greeting cards........

Flowers with a link to Interflora might be useful in building up business.

I imgaine you have a line of cards in store, maybe you could supplement the gift range, for those who don't want a gift basket with things like photo frames, candles, skin care, keepsakes and trinkets and all the other sort of thing that people pick up as gifts.

Another option would be too have a range of fine wines on sale (although the licensing side of this may prove to be expensive).

Homemade produce, candy, cakes, bread, jams and marmalades, chutneys.
Go to craft markets and offer to sell things that they make for a commission.

Baskets, cellophane and bows in case someone wants to make their own basket. Candy bouquets would be nice too, especially if you make some masculine ones. You could also sell balloons and birthday cards (or any type of greeting cards).

I live in Alaska and the basket gift store here has boxes of chocolate that are nice. They even have boxes of chocolate cigars.

Try more gift ideas. Such as wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, bows, ribbons, cards, balloons...you know?

You should also try to sell other types of gifts... like, maybe stuffed animals? for kids, or little figurines...
Try making ornaments, or cristmas stockings, too!

But, I think the best thing would to start a bakery-type-thing.
Make your own birthday cakes, or cookies n' stuff...
Also, try making candy!

Or a spinoff of gift baskets would be to make sets of little bags of candy and fun stuff for kids!-goodie bags.
I've noticed that A LOT of kids have Christmas or birthday parties at school, and they usually take goodie bags and (of course) cupcakes!
So, that would be the best thing to try! Kids LOVE those things, and it's always best, because working parents don't always have the time to make those things for their children to share, so try experimenting with those...☺

Great question!

Have you thought about supplementing your income by approaching a larger market?
