Get a business plan and take it to the bank. |

you have to draw up a business plan before going with the plan and prospective figures to your bank manager, he will look at the figures of profit and los and make a decision whether to lend on the idea or not,
if you have done your figures and the business looks as if it might succeed they will lend,
there is also lots of trusts out there who will actually give you grants that you do not have to pay back..
contact your local citizen advice bureau
good luck and when you become a millionaire dont forget me please.
thanks

Survey says................first, do plan to finance this idea yourself? If not, you need to make a business plan and go from there! |

Its FREE to register too...good luck |

Get a basic draft business plan drawn up showing your likely income and outgoings then develop from there.
Be realistic and cautious i.e err on the high side for outgoings and on the low side for income.
Once done speak to friends or acquaintances who wil give you an honest and realsitic view of your idea as well as your bank and any local business start up schemes.
Good luck |

yeah,
business plans are not that hard to draft up if you have a thorough idea of how the business is going to run. I would go to family for investment help before a bank, but often that is not available. Use your resources and dont be shy to bounce your ideas off of good friends.
Just remember to be as detailed as possible and dont rush in or get discouraged quickly. There is a lot to go into a start-up.
Also, you may talk to local college business clubs who could take an interest in your idea and help you out. |

I am in the same situation as yourself, what you need to do is alot of market research, know your competition. Also draw up a business plan and take it to a bank for finance. Check out these sites for further info, really good info for what you need:
http://www.princes-trust.org.uk/Main%20Site%20v2/14-30%20and%20need%20help/start%20up%20in%20business.asp
You could get a grant from these guys to further finance your idea
http://www.startups.co.uk/ this site is amazing for info
Good luck! :) |

It really depends on the scale of the business and any regulatons you would be subject to. (Alcohol licencing / Food safety & hygeine standards etc)
With so little to go on, I can only advise you to research, research and then do a bit more research!
Look into the market for your idea. Look at how much it would cost you to set up.
You can't run a business on numbers alone, but it'll never work if the numbers aren't right.
Work out how much your business will cost to set up. Figure out a unit of sale (one item of your product or one hour of your service etc) and work out how much it will cost you to deliver one unit and what you can charge for it.
With this figured out, you can work out how many units you need to sell to cover all of your costs and 'break even'.
Really, this just scratches the surface. You should visit your local library and read some books on the subject, which should make it more clear. |

Forget it.
Too many people have gone bust trying to turn their business idea into reality.
If ihe idea is any good someone else will probably steal it and you will get nothing. |
