You might go to business school. You probably won't learn everything you need to know. You might work in a similar business. You might very well pick up all the information you need there. If you know some Irish businessmen you could talk to them. They could give you some wonderful tips on the things to do and not do in Ireland. You never know what to trust in websites. |

Keep in mind that a good idea now may not be a good idea in 6-7 years. Markets change. Competition gathers. |

My advice would be to first keep the idea to yourself. Nothing worse than having a killer idea and having somone copy or steal it from you. (unless it is a simple idea like a restaurant)
Try to write a business plan and try to map everything down that you wish to achieve ie costs, start ups etc. I would recommend the book 'business plans for dummies' very easy to read and should get you started.
And last thing friend, don't loose hope - people can put you down and tell you it wont work, but trust me if you believe it can then anything is possible. Hope this helps.... |

What might be a good idea today, will certainly not be next year, let alone 7 years. The world is moving at too fast a pace for things to stay as they are. No matter how young you are, if you have a good idea, go ahead with it now. Most self made millionaires started out at your age or younger. Go for it before someone else comes up with the same idea and moves on it. There must be a local enterprise agency, or Princes Trust even that can give you advice. |

You will need to check out whether your ideas have any high market demand and how much competitor you will be facing online. This could be easily check out using some online software application. The chances of succeed will be higher if you have done the research.
I think as a start, you could consider those businesses with a very low investment cost. Internet business is one of the ways. I like internet business as it will allow me to work anytime and anywhere. With current technology, the process could also be made automated. With a proper system setup and correct web marketing strategies, you could easily earn some passive incomes.
