try playing it less often...but then again you probably have a lot of extra time and if you're really good at it keep playing and when you turn 21 join the wpt and if you win give half the money to this guy that just gave you a useful advice...if you dont feel like waiting all that time then you could just give himt he best answer |

Quitting seems like a fantastic idea! Your addiction is only going to get worse if you continue to indulge it. Get some help and quickly! Right now you should be concentrating on how to develop your good character traits and work to get good grades.
Find something to do which will curb your interest in poker and QUIT!!! |

Ummm, how about stop for a while. Sounds like you are worried about it so your warning sensors in your brain are telling you something. Listen to it. |

Don't play with real money. Play with shells or tokens of some kind. |

It should be a balance or medium for everything in life. You are already saying that it is interfering with other aspects of your life that are important, so.... get help from gamblers anonymous or stop it yourself if possible. |

The only way to stop being addicted is to STOP playing. Yes you can limit playing it, but it will just make you miss it more. You need to stop since you're still young before you become one of those people who can't control themselves. Poker is fun and I used to be addicted to it, but I stopped playing it for a year since my lame high school doesn't allow cards and I don't need it anymore. :) Best of luck to you! |

If you are that addicted it is time to stop. If you are gambling money it is really time to stop. Otherwise you will be a danger to yourself. |

Playing a card game, while exciting, takes time and energy away from more important things in life: schoolwork being one of them, but simply LIVING being another. You should definitely cut back; and if you can't do that, then you are addicted and should quit altogether if at all possible. Discipline yourself to playing 1x/4wks and don't watch the poker channel and see what happens. If it's a problem to play that seldom then you DO have a problem (addiction). Don't let it control you--you'll end up regretting it. |

This is bad. Tell your family and friends. Find a support group. Believe me, there are support groups for teens with gambling addictions. Good luck! |

I think you will be fine...Maybe you really enjoy the hanging out part of playing poker. But if you are noticing that it is affecting your school work - just back off. |
