the name ali baba should tell you something, have you read or seen Alli Baba and his 40 Thieves? Perhaps that story may have been changed to Alli Baba and 40 Men . That would keep me from entering their site. I hope you will be able to recover your money.

Sorry to hear about this, however, research is the key when dealing with any overseas company with a view to importing products from them. I myself import from China and visit a site run by the Chinese government which lists a database of legitimate companies, if you cannot find a similar resource ask your potential supplier for references any supplier worth his salt would not object and may even understand your concern as most supplies are paid for upfront, if they refuse or become difficult then avoid. Another option may be for you to find an independent agent in the country to act on your behalf and visit the potential suppliers and obtain the information needed and deal with the export for you. Always ask for samples of the product BEFORE you commit to buy all suppliers offer samples, yes you may pay a slightly higher price but its a small price to pay to verify the quality of the potential supplies.

As for sites like alibaba.com try to stick to companies that are gold suppliers as they pay for their listings in the site, your research time will be better invested in these potential suppliers.

The website is just an e-market site, like e-bay - I don't think the owners are theives!

But they don't appear to offer any protection against fraud, either - although they do say they'll terminate accounts which contravene their rules.

Have you contacted the alibaba site?

were you sent oils instead?.....most oils are handwritten and if so you'll need an atomizer and right mixing formula. If you feel you have been scammed contact the Federal Trade Commision and file a report with them on the link below.....click "file a complaint". As for your money.....if your in the Untied States and bought it from overseas....wouldn't it be cheaper just to count your losses?.....oh....if it wasn't an oil you recieved.....take the money your going to save on legal expenses and go to Turkey....seriously.....and buy your oil and atomizer.....

I'm sorry to hear about this.

This doesn't dirctly answer your question, but it would be worth contacting the webhosting company of this site, and advising them of the problems you have had. They could close the site down.
