Whether you are self-employed or have a limited company business, it is crucial to maintain accurate accounting records.
Fees are charged on a time basis, so the better the records the less the fee will be. Self employed businesses will incur a much reduced fee than a limited company, as there is less work involved.
Best estimate would be £300-£500 for a sole trader, compared with £1000 - £1500 for a limited company.
When choosing an accountant do ensure that you feel comfortable with them, and that they offer an all round service, including advice on how to make your business a success.
Good luck in your new venture!

Depends what you want them to do.

If you want them to do all your VAT, payroll, coproration tax, and all the other submissions for the Revenue and Companies house, it'll be about £1000-£1200 per year.

If you just want them to do end of year accounts, about £500.

Im an accountant, our fees vary upon turnover. At present, we are offering 20% of our fees. So why dont you go and get some quotes from other accountants, and then finally come to me.

Im sure ill have the best rate.

Depending on your location, a CPA is going to cost $125 to $150/hour. Don't let that scare you, you would use him/her to check if you are doing right or not. Get Qucik Books or Quick Books PRO and do most of it yourself. Most of it is clerical work filling in the blanks.

perhaps this will give you some idea if you keep your receipts in order and they correspond to your expenditure page and you do not register for vat for signing your year end accounts you can expect to pay between £350 -£400 hope it helps and good luck

That's the sound of me sucking air in through my teeth!
But seriously,
it really depends on where you are and if you want a firm or a self employed accountant.
