I always hear it takes money to make money and I see all these programs and opportunities that take money to start up or invest in. Well come Feb when my tax return comes in, I will have a small sum to play with. I'm wanting to put it into something that will be the beginning of something lucrative or that will multiple my money in some way. Does anyone have anh legitimate ideas? Find a wholesaler, buy a quantify of x product, and sell x product through any sales channels you know of (eBay, Craigslist, and similar come to mind).
(Where x = a product which you can afford to buy in quantity and get a discount for and x = a product which you can sell for at least 50% more than you paid for it)
Once you've made your money back, invest into building your own website to sell your product - you'll be looking at monthly costs of about $50-100, depending upon your hosting provider, your payment processor, and other providers.
Play it smart and you can't lose on this startup idea - research is key, so you will need to be ready to learn a lot of information to succeed. (You cannot simply spend money and expect to make money in return - running a startup means investing a significant amount of your time. If you want easy money, investment is a better bet.)
Update: Think of something which isn't going out of style any time soon - I've worked with very successful startup owners who chose simple things like a particular type of picture frame or book. If you have a talent or knowledge which isn't very common, you'd do well to start a service business to capitalize on your knowledge (but I would think that'd be the first thing to come to your mind if you knew you'd have the money and you felt as though you had specialized knowledge).
In any case, get to know the laws which surround operating your business and make sure that you are on the correct side of them - small service businesses can be crushed with lawsuits (less likely for retailers, but still a concern). |

Go to a personal investor. It will cost a lil but just give him the lump sum and committ to not being able to put your hands on the money for 10 + years. They'll take care of you. |

you can look into mutual funds, do some research on it and call some banks!!they'll help you out...then again it depends on how much money we're talking....anything under a $10000,then mutual funds will be the best....50,000 and up then maybe an investment in a struggling factory or online trade like the purchase of sports memorabilia and selling it for profit will be good to. you have to study the markets and ask yourself,if i were some,would i buy this(what you're trying to sell) and if i would buy it,why would i? |
