I think the best starting point would be to let the owner know you are interested in acquiring the business. He may be able to help you work a deal through his bank. But you should also start with your bank since you already have a relationship. Go in and speak with a personal banker. There are also resources in every community such as Small Business Development Centers which take you every step of the way in acquiring/starting up businesses. Good luck! |

Form your own business and get the services of a real estate agent. Get an E.I.N. number from the I.R.S., then form an LLC, corporation. It may sound difficult but both of those forms can be done on-line, at least in Michigan. If your state is different go to an accountant. They would be glad to help you with the forms, usually for free, because they want to do your taxes later. If you can't at first find one that will do it free, look around, you'll find one. Once you have those documents finished, the real estate person probably knows a local banker that can help you find business loans, which are usually at a lower rate that conventional loans. |

thats alot of money, what is it a super shop?, i ran a body shop for seven years before i branched off with a partner and rented a building, we did r and r and restorations, we got a really good deal on a paint mixing machine of-course we borrowed the same connection's of the body shop i ran, but we started the business on $10.000 and couldn't keep customer's away....... |
