Nobody needs their lawn mowed etc and i tried to get a job at sf supermarket but they were talking asian so i couldnt understand them. im asian so i guess ill call them back later. i called wing wa supermarket and they said the business was slow so they didnt need anybody. what other companies can i call |

Interesting, however, i am afraid for now your going to have to stick to the lawn mowing and cleaning out the garage gig until your 16. Until then most stores/companies wont bother to hire you, your simply to young. |

Well, first look online or in the paper for jobs for one thing, and sometimes you have to get a "workforce agreement" thing that is used for some teens to get a job. Of course I'm 18 so I can get almost any job. |

you could ask the elderly neighbors if they need help.
just basic stuff.... maybe they need help vacuuming, washing dishes, mowing grass, taking out their trash.
Tell them you want $6.00 an hour. Its cheap, but its worth it. It will all add up. |

at your age a paper round is your best bet. if not that just odd jobs for neighbours like walking there dog, washing there car etc.. you should make afew adverts up saying what you can do and your number. not many places will take on a 14yr old because of insurance. plus companies dont have to pay you basic rates |

You can't get a job until you are 16 in CA. And if you are under 18 then you have to have a work permit from your high school. |

that reallly sucks.. i remeber..
but theres really no places that will hire 14 year olds.. maybe 15... but for now... try baby sitting.. and if you are looking for lots of money, charge about 10-15 dollars an hour.

Well good luck most people dont hire people that young maybe you should try a paper route or just yard work not just mowing or maybe you could get someone to help you sell stuff that you dont use on e-bay |
