well brainstorm your main consumers and think of places you want to put this product...once you have that try contacting the heads of thoes companies and move on to manufacturing in large amounts....everything will fall into it's self |

It sounds like you have a great start! But no business plan is complete without the financials.
I suggest you take full advantage of this free business planning/ advising service: http://www.score.org/index.html They can help you get your business plan to where it needs to be (you can enter your location and find the nearest one to you), and give you advice based on their business experience. They can even help you do all the prep work needed for a business loan.
Meanwhile, test your product in small doses on eBay or CraigsList, and learn from who's buying it and what attracted them to the product.

Have you tried finding a business advisor through your local library. Many times the chamber of commerce offers free services as well. Have you formed your business entity yet? Start networking with other small business owners. Look for meetups that focus on entrepreneurs and you should be able to get lots of advice. Before you go any further, I STRONGLY recommend you contact the Small Business Development Center (at your local community college) and talk to them; the counseling is free. The counselors may be able to help you develop your financials.
Then sign up for the NxLevel Entrepreneurial program... it's a 12 session course that walks you through the ins and outs of starting or growing your business, and as part of that you will write a business plan. At the end of the class your plan will be reviewed by a lending professional, and will be critiqued, telling you the strong points of your plan AND the weak points.
Then you can work on the weak points and hopefully get it into shape to actually present to a lender and get the loan you need. There is a cost for the NxLevel program but it’s a lot cheaper than losing your investment.
Even if you hire a professional to write your plan, you should still take the NxLevel course. It saved me from going into a business that would have failed within a year or so, taking my investment with it. I realized by the third week of the class that I could not afford the business I was looking at and changed directions in the middle of the class.
Business plans may be a pain in the butt to prepare, but without one, your business is doomed to failure. To start with, you won't know what your startup costs are going to be, what kind of income to expect, what your ongoing expenses are, who your competition is, and even whether or not you can make a profit. Without a GOOD business plan and SOLID financials, you will not be able to get a business loan to get your business off the ground.

You have to come up with the financial portion of your business plan. Take the plan to a bank and get the loan needed to kickstart your business. Set up your website and start advertising. It sounds to me like you've done the hard stuff. You will probably have to go store to store to offer your products to other retailers. Just find the salesman in you and get going. |

Ya know, we have this subject in business math where we have to sell. And this is the same thing we did. First we had free samples. Then we started selling it. Then we started to advertise and POOF! BIG SUCCESS! we first had to plan our budget and when to sell. then we would inform everyone about it. we also sold it on a reasonable price and we enjoyed what we did so, I guess thats the only thing I can tell ya. |
