Do your due diligence and you do not have to worry about wasting your money.
What are you looking for? Every business idea can work if properly implemented, on the Internet or off. People waste their money on schemes and scams because they want something for nothing.
You said business, not an employment. I do not know of any employments on the Internet as I have not been employed for some 30 years now. But businesses work. Just look around yourself in your own neighborhood. The same applies for the Internet.
Every business requires an investment in time and money. Period. Anybody telling you otherwise is either lying to you or is simply unable to recognize a true business from the horse's a*s. You must have heard of franchises. They do exist and some are very profitable. Many are now available on the Internet as well.
What are you looking for? A free lunch? Well there is none. Are you capable to learn? Can you abandon your employee mentality and be responsible for your own life? If so, find yourself a mentor, who is already running a successful home based business or an Internet business and ask him/her to coach you. Legitimate mentor will not charge you for coaching but be prepared to invest money in your own business, your own website, in your own marketing campaign, etc., everything that any legitimate business requires.
The difference between your brick and mortar business is huge especially in the income potential. Local business is dependent on local shape of economy where Internet business has the world as its potential market. The choice is yours. |

Start a blog and a clickbank account (both free) and start an affiliate marketing business. Basically you advertise others products and get a commission on sales. It's pretty low maintainance once you get it started but it's a nice little passive income stream for you...good luck. I use this method of home business and have 6 different passive streams of income right now which allows me a lot of free time for my family.
Below is a site with some opportunities that you can look over for yourself. |

You are right you should not waste money trying different "Programs". There are great ways to earn income at home as long as you are willing to do the work.
My advice would be to look for things that you really enjoy and believe in then look if there are business or work at home opportunities.
If you like what you are doing then it will be much easier to succeed. I know from my own experiences that trying different things to try to make money really did not work for me. I needed to find what I like and then look for business opportunities.
There are work at home businesses and work at home Jobs. You need to decide what you want and then go for it. YES you can earn great money from home and have the time and the money that you want.
You can feel free to check my profile for what I and my wife (and mother and wife's sister) are doing. If you like fitness and working out at home you may like it too :)
Hope that helps

Well good news for you, I've tried a lot of them and I've learnt 2 things from work at home opportunities
1: Most of them are BS
2: I hate scammers with a passion. (frakking scammers...)
Of the ones that i've tried I've cut it down to just 3 real options that will actually earn you good profits, not just peanuts like what sites like Bux and Yuwie offer.
1: DROPSHIPPING
I personally recommend dropshipping, it's fool-proof when done right and because you're dealing with real, honest, sometimes well known companies those fears of being scammed are almost non existent
You join a wholesale company and buy items at wholesale prices (Wiis, iphones...whatever). You sell the products on Ebay for a nice little profit. The wholesale company will then simply ship the item to the buyer's address (which is what dropsipping is), You almost never have to handle the product.
I suggest one of these 2 dropship companies with the best wholesale prices:
Worldwide Brands

Esources UK
http://www.freshclickreviews.com/esources%20uk.html
2: AFFILIATE MARKETING
Probably the most lucrative option (it makes up about 70% of my internet earning). but also the most time consuming.
You promote a company's products by signing up as an affiliate. You will be given a unique URL and everytime a sale is made through your unique URL, you get a commission (these are usually quite high commissions - often going up to as high as 75% in commission for every sale.)
I can't explain it all here, to learn the tricks on the Affilite Marketing game I suggest you read one of these.
Day Job Killer
http://leontai.dayjobkill.hop.clickbank.net/
The Rich Jerk
http://leontai.richjerk.hop.clickbank.net/
I would recommend the rich jerk if you are on a budget, it's only $10 and even though it's quite outdated it will teach you enough for you to decide if affiliate marketing is for you.
3: PAID SURVEYS
The easiest of the 3, but also the lowest earner. You are paid to fillout surveys from small companies to companies as big as Microsoft & Coca Cola. Surveys pay on average $10 per survey and each survey lasts on average about 10 minutes.
There are 3 companies that I've tried that are pretty good...just pick one or 2
Express Paid Surveys

Survey Scout

Of course home businesses work. Ever heard of Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware? They are all classified as home businesses and obviously they are successful. I have a home business & it's great. Working from home takes discipline and organization. You will only get out of it what you put into it. You say you don't want to waste money, then look for a company that has a low start-up that actually gives you something for that money. Stay away from quotas and companies who charge you different prices based on quantity ordered. Make sure you believe in and use the products you are selling. Check the company's buy back and opt out policies.
Good Luck!

I think you're asking if there are legitamate home businesses out there and the answer is yes.
As to whether or not they 'work', they only work if you work them.
Just as any job requires for you to show up and actually work, your home business requires the same attention. Think about it....
How can anyone possibly make money if they don't put the effort into their businesses?
I work two businesses from home.
One is a gourmet scented candle business and the other is an internet driven membership that teaches people how to promote their businesses online.
