No extreme idea will be successful. One of the reasons that you see so many competitors in a given market is because people NEED that product or service AND are willing to pay for it. So what you need to find is a product or service that people need, they are willing to pay for and that the competition is limited or you know a better way to service the customers. Maybe you can find a higher quality product, offer a better price for a quality product, offer better service, deliver it faster, or something that will set you apart from others. JP Getty said it best. To be successful, you need to find a product or service that everyone needs or wants... The key being EVERYONE (or at least a large enough group to make it profitable)
Extreme ideas/products/services are like fades they come and go. The target market is small and competition will be heavy if the idea starts to catch on. The best way to make money then is to be the supplier to the competition, like the businessmen during the gold rush. They supplied the shovels and axes and made a mint off of all the miners looking to strike it rich. |
