you advertise! like the rest of use!
you should budget at least 1/3rd of your income to advertising if you want to be great!
or you can wait it out and let word of mouth do it for you! that way your grandkids will thank you! |

First off when you post your URL (like above) include http:// so that hte link is clickable and is spidered by search engines.
Here are some free web marketing tips.
Not all web marketing needs to cost money. Aside from website submissions, there are a number of things that web marketers can do that are free, though they may be rather time-consuming. Other marketing tactics are relatively inexpensive, and are often well worth the investment.
Follow these basic steps to market your website and business.

As a business psychology major, I know that the best way to get people to like your merchandise better is using bright colors and fancy decorations. I know it sounds basic but it's basic psychology...our lizard brain is drawn to these things...which is why fireworks are so fascinating. There is a part of us clapping our hands grunting "pretty!" when we see shiny things.
First you should have a background instead of the white backing. Something that goes with mostly everything...like pink. But make it a pattern or an image, not just a solid pink background. Make the font not so basic, but not illegible. Go for pastel colors. The black frame around the images on the home page makes everything look neat an organized. With a pastel background it will look fabulous. Instead of making the shop page with blue frames around the images, try baby blue or a faded yellow color. Play with colors and see what is more appealing to you, and get opinions from your family and friends.
Hope I was helpful. |

Google adwords works good, but it might be expensive in the clothing industry. A better designed site would be a plus, but nice start. |

Have you considered looking in the newspaper for all the new babies born in the area? You can look up the couple, call them and offer them a 10% discount or $10 free gift card for your store as a gift to them. |

You can advertise it on other main sites such as google, myspace, youtube, face book, etc.
Also around shops or posters on lamp posts etc. Or sell some of your stuff on ebay and put a link further under your selling info to say where they can look for more.
Good luck! :o) |

Flyers!
Also, word of mouth is the most effective way of marketing out there!
I don't have any kids but I'll be glad to check out your website. it's great to see someone being active instead of asking for dumb ways to make money. Good Luck!
Don't forget, you need some sports! Little baseballs, softballs, soccer balls, bats, helmets, etc.. |

advertise through google adwords, myspace (free), on various blogs, on yahoo answers (this actually works!),
Also try purchasing banners on sites that deal with parents and children.
Lastly, consider starting your own blog and e-mail newsletter. |

To save money, try to find sites that attract your potential customers. Maybe see about advertising on sites where new parents or parents in general would be likely to see your ads.
Buy a list and send out mass emails advertising. See about tracking. You could hire a company to do this for you. They could advise you how to best get results. Ask for references.
Start a blog. Offer information about children and clothing needs. Advertise your business there. |
