Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

Well almost all of us have had to work for someone or other at one point in our lives. The only thing I can suggest is if you can come up with something unique, an idea, perhaps you can be successful that way. It would have to be something that there is a great need for, or an idea that would just attract people.
The alternative would be to find something you are really good at doing and to try and go into business for yourself, but at the age of seventeen, you may find that a bit difficult to do, but either way, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! |

To start any business you need at least enough money to cover at least 3 years of expences and expect to make NO money in those first 3 years. Trust me I know. I had a business I loved and lost my shirt and had to close due to lack of funds. Also stop using phrases like "like",
to get customers and keep them proper grammer is always a must.
Try doing odd jobs that you can work independantly and save. Good luck to you.

Try launching a service business like computer repair, lawn mowing or a concierge service walking dogs, running errands etc. Painting is also popular for young people starting out. Be prepared to work long hours when you start. Dress well, be polite and watch your money and you will go far, Use flyers put on car windsheilds and malboxes to get the word out. |
