Hey, I'm going to be very honest with you and say that the first thing you should do is work on your credit. Anyone who tells you differently is selling you a dream. First, learn how your credit works by going to www.fico.com -- read up on it and plan to use that knowledge to get on the path to business ownership. Second, go to annualcreditreport.com -- I'm pretty sure that is the free site that will tell you what is on your credit report.
Use that information and promise yourself that you are going to face your credit history and do at very least two things per week to clean up your credit for the future: write letters, negotiate your debt, close old accounts.
After you get your credit under control, start thinking about the type of business you want to start. There are many options with very low overhead that require mostly gumption -- get a real estate license, become a life coach for others who want to move forward as you will have done.
There are web sites dedicated to showing business models and business plans for people who want to start small businesses -- peruse and fill your mind with ideas - then take action. Best of luck. |

First you need to talk to a financial planner, banks have them. You need to figure out where you are financially, where you want to be, and how to get there. They will help you plan to repair your credit, and get on track.
Now you have to realize being an entrepreneur isn't easy, it takes a lot of hard work, and usually means very low pay right away. It's not all fun and games.
Get a book on the topic, just stop at a local bookstore, they should have a section on it. A good book will guide you through everything, and if you follow it all you may find success. |

read "Rich Dad's before you quit your job" by Robert Kiyosaki. There are information telling you how to reduce your debts steps by steps and set up your own business. This guy encourages people to become entrepreneur instead of being an employee in your whole life. You may get some ideas from this book. Good luck! |
