If you want to start a home based business, there will be fees involved and business expenses. There are many legit business opportunities out there in direct sales, multi-level and network marketing. There are great companies to work with, but having a business isn't for everyone. It's worked real well for us. I now work this full-time and my wife works it part-time. This job can be done from just about anywhere, over the Internet, over the phone, or in person. F/T, P/T, Free Training, Low Investment, No Inventory, No Sales. Please email me if you are serious.

I have put in a lot of time researching different stay at home opportunities. There is a lot of scams out there but there are legit businesses. It is finding one that will work for you. After all my time and research I found something I really enjoy doing (while actually making a living) Email me and I will send you info. Hope I can save you from wasting all the time I did trying to sift through all the scams out there.

If you want to work from your computer at home, you are probably going to have to do it as a business owner, rather than as an employee. There are no online work-at-home "jobs".

When you apply for a job offline, in the bricks and mortar world, do you have to pay anything? Of course not. It should be the same in the online world. If you are asked to pay any money, at best, it is a business opportunity, but more likely it is just a scam.

Be very careful that you don't get scammed.

I do affiliate marketing online. I've been doing it for a year and I'm getting ready to quit my regular job, as I am now making over $10k per month. However, it takes dedicated, persistent work, at least a few thousand of initial working capital, decent organizational skills, and a healthy dose of motivation, but you can make a living at it if you stick with it.

But that is a business.

Starting a business requires a lot of work and dedication. You cannot start a business this week and expect to be earning a good profit next week.

Employees tend to have a "job" mindset whereby they worked this week, so they expect to see results this week (i.e. a paycheck this week).

Hi Heather!

Yes, I am a global home-based business trainer. If you have a computer and a phone you can work at home online.

Many people are joining the online work-from-home businesses where they can enjoy tax benefits, flexible hours and the freedom of being their own boss.

There are many legitimate home-based business opportunities – and many that are extremely successful - but you must research and evaluate each opportunity in order to choose wisely. In order to assess if they are legit: check with the Better Business Bureau to see what their reputation is like, check to see how long the business has been around, and make sure there is a product involved (if not, it’s likely a pyramid scheme). Be wary of those that ask for money upfront!

Of the companies that appear to be legitimate, look to see what kind of training and ongoing support they'll offer you, as that can be a crucial point to your success.

Check out the website as listed in my profile – there are more ideas for you there - and I hope I have been of some assistance.

I've worked as a customer service rep taking inbound calls through a company called West At Home. I was working full time at the time and would work from home in the evenings and weekends and made an extra $200 plus each month depending on how much I wanted to work. You can earn enough to make it a full time job though. All you need is high speed internet and internet. I had to quit because they require a quiet background and I had a baby. I now do proofreading and contract work. You can find other similar companies at
http://www.workathomedesk.com - a free site that has an excellent directory of legitimate companies hiring home workers. You can also earn money online by:

1. freelance writing jobs, these consist of writing articles, blog, content, web content, ghost writing, technical writing. Most of these jobs are freelance basis and plenty of jobs are available around.

2. your own website/blog and earn from google adsense. It will take some time and hard work, but rewards are great and long lasting.

3. transcription job from home.

4. completing projects available on online marketplace like guru.com or getafreelancer.com

5. proofreading and editing written content

Good luck in your search!

I do, I have a mini-office outlet that I run from within my home, and some of the things that I like about that for me is that I don't have to drive to and from work, I work the hours I want to, I don't do direct sales or demo parties and it's actually a lot of fun! You're more than welcome to contact me if you'd like more info on what I do.

There's all sorts of opportunities out there so if you know what sorts of things you'd be interested in doing, that's where I'd start looking.

Make sure whatever company you're looking at is legit with the BBB and that you know everything about it before you commit to anything with them.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find some great options to choose from!

Yes, I work from home. We began a business, family based and have continued working right along. My daughters have been in and out of the business over the years, but all in all we have found it to be very rewarding and profitable. Our sales have steadily grown over the years and seem to be relatively safe from changes in the overall economy.

You can find this type of work. It is available and in many cases, is available from businesses or organizations within your own community. Many companies are looking for workers who don't require office space, etc...

As a former call center manager, I've hired (outsourced) work on a regular basis for calling customers and prospects, working on marketing projects and other jobs. Two recommendations, depending on what you're seeking. Check out LiveOps in Palo Alto, CA for a live agent position. You work from home and handle inbound customer service calls. No selling and no cold calling. (I have no relationship with the company and they're very legit.) You might also try contacting companies in your area about home work. Many small businesses, in particular, need outside help in a variety of areas: clerical, accounting, marketing & sales support to mention a few. Avoid anyone who approaches you to handle money transfers. These are not legit. Good luck!

Momof4-5 including my husband
We don't have home based jobs. We found that they only pay minimum wage. So, my husband and I started our home based business over six years ago. We both wanted to work out of our home and be together raising our children. We didn't want to send them off to a daycare center. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting down daycare providers. They work hard. But I just didn't want the traditional family lifestyle of one or both parents having to work out of the home and really not be a part of our children's life. I didn't want that lifestyle. I wanted to be with my kids. The company we chose made the most since to us. A product that is and always will be in high demand. There are a lot of products and services out there that are good. We decided to partner up with this company because it was things that people will always use and pay for anyway, pretty much no matter what. We didn't have to worry if money became tight that they could easily run to the store and purchase on sale or be able to buy it at the dollar store. So, we got involved in the world's largest direct selling telecommunications service provider that was started back in 1993. It's now a 15 year old, world wide international company. With headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Charlotte, Amsterdam, Sydney and Montreal.
They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it's first five years. They are registered with the BBB as well.
They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway, like I had said. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc as well. We save people money and make money at the same time. Every single month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of money involved in this industry.
When we started our non profit organization called SOFTIN funding is so hard to find with the compeitition involved. Every non profit organization is out there trying to find donors through large corporations. We could make the monthly income to well support our non profit organization based on what we knew and how much we made from our business. So we started a funding program through our business for our non profit as well as it's becoming a major funding source for other non profit organizations.
If you need further information feel free to email me at Kaiden4@aol.com
