I want to set up my own t-shirt business and haven't a clue of where to start- i want to build an income for the future!!
I have my designs on paper, but instead of going to companys to get my designs printed- as they will make a profit- i want to start from scratch and make and produce them myself- but i haven't got a clue on where to start, such as :
-What equipment will I need
-How to transfer my designs onto the shirts
after i know how to make and produce the shirts than hopefully i can offer my designs out to the public- personally and online

Please note that i'm not asking for designs im asking how to print my designs on the shirts- with out having to go to printing businesses- HOWEVER- if u know of any contacts /businesses which print in bulks for other businesses (im not interested in the online websites that just operate online & just offer customised tshirts which u have to buy individually, i want to go to offices .THANKS |

Most t-shirts are printed with the silk-screen printing process. To be able to do this yourself, you will need to develop a skill first, or be able to hire someone to do it for you. This is not a cheap process to set up. Nor is it something that is quick and easy to learn. There is a learning curve with a lot of wasted time and expensive material.
google "silk screen" and go from there. You have a lot of research to do.
I know you don't want to hear this, but unless you have many thousands of bucks to invest, your best bet is to have your designs printed for you in the beginning, while you learn what is needed, then set up your own printing business. |

oh if you were in the philippines it would cost you about a dollar per shirt or even less to get the design on them. You're gonna have to learn how to silkscreen. Go to a craftshop, ask them where the silkscreening materials are, and have them give you a how-to on the products, it will probably cost you around 40dollars for everything if you were here in the philippines, but if not, probably around 200 or so dollars over there, hopefully less. you'll need fabric paint, too, and shirts to practice on..many people outsource because the cost of probably just the paint over there can get you an entire bulk order done over here.... anyway, best wishes on your biz |

get a tshirt printing machine, costs over £1500 for a really good one if you want to look professional or you could buy a cheap one which will make the t shirts look tacky. You could then go on and sell your t shirts online for max profits if you dont have a shop already. however if you have good designs and i mean really good designs then you could probally sell them and make more money than having your own t shirt business! I am also in the clothing business so you could email me a design and i can let you know if they are any good! |

you cant copy right teeshirt designs anybody can copy them u need to pattent your design but that will not stop any body copying what u do come up with the idea of the nanny state years ago but some body jumped on the band wagon win some lose some next thing to come is out of brum urban been there janga janga keeping it real smethwick in the house |
