You see, I volteer at this animal shelter and it's really a mess. All the animals at the shelter are cats. I think if I put some kind of fundraiser at the school my nieces take, I would get a lot of money. But how? Should I sell something, or should I preform? How would I do this, when, and if sell, what? I really need some help with my plans.

You can have a car wash, Have a raffle like a T.V. or something else. If you go to companies like wal-mart they will sponsor your event. Which means they would donate the things you need to raffle. You can also sell cookies, drinks, and small snacks to offices. (a girl goes to my office and sells snacks in the morning we always buy everything). Good Luck |

i take pictures of the animals,and ask who would like to be a foster parent or to actually adopt one!also i put cans in shops and schools this way many people can help[even by just putting their change in!!!!]i also ask people to become a member of the animal shelter i represent!![we put up a little kiosk in shopping centres[with permission first!!]this way we get members,i personally talk to people!!!

Get someone with a good camera to take photos of ten cats who are different colours, etc. Make up a big poster for each cat with PLEASE BE A PARTIAL-PARENT AND HELP ADOPT ME! Get the school's permission to put up one or two posters a week and also do the same at one or two stores that are trustworthy. Give them a donation list for each cat/poster and a can for money. On the poster write: It costs $300 a year to feed "Buster" or "Elizabeth" (be sure the cat has a name!!), provide kitty litter and another $50.00 if he/she needs neutering/spaying. It would be wonderful if a loving family or person adopted him/her BUT if you do not have the room, please consider becoming a "Partial Owner" and donate to her/his care at the shelter! Every time we raise $300., another life is spared and another cat can live. If you can perform, maybe one of the stores would allow you to sing/play guitar, etc. in the store one day and also collect money. They will want to see a letter from the shelter stating that you are collecting on their behalf, by the way! |

instead of having a car wash to save the animals,why don't you advertise then have a pet wash,and groom(like brushing,and bandanas around thier neck)at your local a.s.p.c.a.and take donations.make sure you advertise,make sure you make signs and maybe an ad in the paper,I know I would bring my pet to be groomed,we normally pay 25$. |

take the pictures of shelter. Go talk to a print company asn them if they can sponsor (they can put their logos under the pictures).
And write on top of pictures "Before" Adn when talking to the audience tell them "After pictures" will be available on the shelter web site.
Bring couple of kittens and cats to the event for couple of hours in their cage. They'll bond the group with the animals. Also you can talk to shelter to bring adoption paper with them. You can fill out the forms on the spot. And they can pick it up in couple of days (you don't wnat them to buy in instant and regret it in days and return. ) Wave the fees but do an auction. Also talk to toys R us and other places to see if they can donate money/toys. Talk to the PR's. They'll be big help. Ask them you can put their posters up if they can donate.
You can do a silent auction as well. Talk to the stores around you to see what they can give. Also friends, families. What ever can come valuable not junk.
Talk to caterers around you you can get a discount for the cause. and or the bars for the drinks,. Talk to LCBO, bring the brochure with you ask them if they can donate a case of wine. Or private wine groups. Sharing is good, remind them.
Also ask local papers to advertise it for free since it is for a shelter. Stay away from celebs. But if you can geta local celeb nice touch.

you may not be able to keep the earnings from it there, however if you look up a tupperware dealer you could have fun, and make more-plus prizes for youself, invite friends who love tupperware, ask them to book a show added on to your party an boom there it is. the miracle your needing, wanting and hoping to happen. i know this can happen for you because i use to be a tupperware lady. look up your local tupperware warehouse in the location that your living in. i once belonged to rainbow hearts. |

I would sell something. You will need to get permission first, but I would sale food items.
At games or school events is the best time to set up a table and start selling. I recommend popcorn, pop and coffee - these items have the largest markup in price of most concession items. And fairly simple...you can usually rent a popcorn machine cheap and the smell sells the product!
Think small, try to run out of items at each event...soon you will get good at judging how much to buy and make.
Remember, you can't just setup a table...get permission first.
If school fails, try other public events. Finally, I'd recommend selling candy bars door to door and be very good at explaining the reason...maybe make up some fliers with a great photo of the animal in need.
