The easiest way to start a part-time home business is to do something that you love doing and charge people for it. In other words, if you have a hobby, find ways to make money from that hobby. For example :
- if you love baking, then bake cakes and sell them at your local flea market or at church sales.
- if you love kids, then babysit or be a home tutor.
- if you like creating artworks (painting, craft etc), put your art creations up for sale on eBay, flea markets etc.
- if you love mixing with people then sales and marketing may be your forte. Find a product that you feel confident of selling or join a home based product marketing network.
- if you are good at home repairs, then join a handyman network or place an ad in the papers offering your services.
- if you are good at writing or web based technology etc, then start a blog and monetize it with the thousands of opportunities available.
Many people think that a home based business MUST be something that you do through the Internet or something "official". It's not. Anything that you can do at home and get paid can "technically" be called a home based business.
The secret to starting a home based business the easy way is to find the niche where you have the necessary skills, talents and passion for.
Lastly... some words of wisdom : if you start a home based business built around something that you love doing, then everyday will be like being paid to enjoy. Do something you hate simply for the money or because everyone says it the best money maker and eveyday may just be like a trip to hell.

Well, what do you like doing? Is there something that you have knowledge or a desire to do? What's important to you in choosing a home based business?
For me, I had to ask myself a lot of questions.....I had a criterai built as to what would be acceptable to me and what wouldn't and you will want to do that for yourself as well. For example:
- Do you want everything to operate from home?
- Do you want the freedom of choosing your own hours?
- Do you want to do direct sales or not?
- Do you enjoy doing home demo parties or would you rather that never happen?
- What kind of start up costs are you comfortable with?
- Is a residual income important to you or are you happy with a trading time for money situation like a typical job?
I could keep going here but I think you get my drift? From here you should be able to look at all sorts of opportunities and narrow it down to one that you feel really good about!
I also suggest that when you explore the opportunities that look exciting to you that you really take your time.....look at them inside and out and if everything is above board and honest and you really love the journey that you're about to embark on....go for it and have a great time with your new love!
