The only one I found helpful and corruption-free was the State Bank of India. This one too has deteriorated with the advent of global banks in India. I had more visitors in my office from these corruption ridden government departments than my customers. If you do not believe me please ask any one who is running an industry or visit some of the industrial estates and find out how many factories are working in good health.
