We've scoured the internet to find work at home opportunities that are legitimate and creative at the same time. You might have heard of offers to stuff envelopes and earn a thousand dollars a week but at the risk of sounding clichéd; if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. "Watch TV and earn twenty dollars an hour" seems like a really good work at home idea, but if such jobs really existed, why would the majority of the population endure long commutes, office politics, and mean bosses. This does not mean that there isn't any legitimate work at home opportunity out there: it just means you need to research the offer and find something which matches you skill set. |

I'm a mother of 2 that works real hard at anything that I do. I didn't want to work for people anymore, I wanted to stay home with my kids and work at home. But every time I found something it wouldn't be legit.

It will be difficult. Think about ebay. If you have a skill and can make something nice, you could sell it there. Or you could learn to specialize in buying items locally and then trying to sell them on ebay. Do you know a foreign language? If so, you could have an online translation service. |

Most people do want to work from home. However, most people don't have the initiative that is required to learn how to find the right business for them nor the resources to do so. They prefer to stay in their "comfort zone", working for someone else who has assumed all the risk of starting the business. And that is ok if that is what you desire.
There is a big difference in "paying" for an application to work for someone else and starting a business at home. How many businesses do you know of that would furnish everything you need for free to start your own business? If that were the case, then everyone in the world would be working for themselves.
When you apply for a job, you work for someone else, on their terms and earn what they want you to earn. When you start your own business, you invest into your own company, working for yourself, the hours that you choose and earn what YOU are willing to earn, not what your boss thinks you are worth.
People refer to paying for work. However, the person who owns the company you apply for did not start for free! He had to invest in his own business or else you wouldn't have the "opportunity" to make him rich! This is the most misunderstood topic I have seen in answers.
There are some great opportunities for work at home programs if you know how to find the one that is right for you. I have over 20 years experience in home businesses and I can offer you an article that will help you find the right opportunity for you. It teaches you what to look for, what to avoid and questions to ask in determining if it is right for you and if the company is legit.

Hi, I've been dreaming about working from home for years now too. I finally had my "aha" moment and have been working on it for months now.
I think that you should think of what you like to do and try to find a way to make money from it.
If you like to work with children you can start a home child care business.
If you prefer to work on crafts then maybe you can start a line of say, bracelets. This women did just that and it's grown a lot.
