Hello,

I put together a page on mahalo.com called How to Sell on eBay for Beginners:

http://www.mahalo.com/How_to_Sell_on_eBay_for_Beginners

Also check out this page: http://www.mahalo.com/How_to_Use_PayPal:_Basics_and_Beyond

I hope they help you.

It's pretty straight-forward for honest people.

Use Paypal for payments, and *always* send everything Recorded Delivery or even courier for expensive stuff.

Best of luck!

You start with registering an account on eBay.

Think about how you're going to go about selling these things - particularly how you're intending to send the items off to individual buyers. Once you've firmed up a plan, and have an idea how much it will cost certain things to send then you're ready to go.

As far as payments are concerned, it's a bit safer for you as you are selling. The simplest method is for you to accept cheques or postal orders. That way, you can wait to receive the cheque and bank it in, and wait for the cheque to clear (usually within 5 working days) before sending your things to the buyer so you're always safe in knowing that you've been paid for things.

There's also PayPal if you want things to move quicker. It's an online service that allows people to pay by card through the PayPal site, and PayPal tells you when the guy has paid and you send off your items. You'll receive credit on your PayPal account which you can redeem direct into your bank account. See the site below.

You can buy a CD for e-bay, which will tell you how to sell, buy and on a lot of thing it will do it for I think I paid about £9 50. for mine. I got it from serif, there e-mail address is www.serif.co.uk

First you need to register;

This help you to know how to sell;

There many articles and videos to help you learn.
When I first started I would place a few auctions in "My eBay" and see how the bidding go. I used Pay-Pal to get paid. It cost a little extra for the seller, but, not the buyer. When I sold something, I had it already in the box ready to close up and ship. All I had to do was put a shipping label and address on it. I also used a "Delivery Confirmation" label. This give you a tracking number. As soon as I drop off the package or the mail-person pick it up at my house. I emailed the buyer that the package had been mailed and gave them the tracking number.
The bottom line, just get signed up it free and then start watching how a few things work. Read feedbacks (Buyer and Seller) to see how that work (You will see some not get what they buy, or maybe they do?), read and watch the help sections.

People have given you most of the good advice already. One other thing to do is make sure you look at completed items before listing your item to make sure you aren't overpricing/underpricing it.

?????
Its easy enough, but I would send your Items recorded delivery, to be on the safe side.

First open yourself an e bay account and also a Paypal account so you can send and recieve payment. You will need a credit or debit card to do this. Follow the on-screen prompts and it explains itself really.
When selling something it is best to upload a photo so people can see what they are buying. You will get more bids this way.
Ebay takes you through the process a step at a time so you cant go far wrong. Once your account is set up you can start selling or bidding to buy straight away. Its quite good fun.

Most people on EBay are honest. Use paypal and you're covered. Go on the site, and they will take you through the process step-by-step.
