search for "work at home scam" and read the websites it finds.
last time I did that, i saw one that claimed over 90% are scams and many of the others are worthless. Watch out for the sites that want to sell you a list of the ones that aren't scams -- many of those lists will prove to be sites selling lists of sites that aren't scams [in a circular reference setup].

I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.
Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to USA,canada,europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link.

Its been updated yesterday to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.
So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. There are several things you could do while you are stuck at home. There are real jobs out there, you just got to know where to look. To start getting educated about work at home jobs you need to visit http://www.wahm.com message boards and read, read, read. There is tons of information there that will help you avoid scams. Since you are disabled right now I know there are some companies that are partial to disabled people, which I think is mainly phone work but I hear the pay is good. They can probably tell you who these companies are at wahm.com. Next, go to http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills and experience, you should find some good leads there. |

Any site that asks for money, OR you don't understand how the money is made, OR its too good to be true (get rich fast scheme) run! What I do and its totally free. Forever. I'm off with a broken hand, so it HAS to be free. You can put in a little time, or a lot of time. Its NOT a get rich quick scheme, but you can make a lot more money than working for someone else. In researching hundreds of home business opportunities prior to leaving the workforce, I found very few that did not make me very nervous. There will be people who make a great deal of money but statistics show that most do not. Often those who make money, make it off of those who sign up and fail or from "get started for $ fees". Look for programs where the profit is based on people succeeding not just on joining. I finally went with a company that was totally free. That felt the best to me. I get to make money while supporting a charitable organization. If this interests you at all, please contact me.....I do not make any money when you join for free.
